For years I've trained myself purely because it was an outlet and a way to relieve stress. I was always in awe of these strong women who competed and thought to myself "I'd never have the confidence or body to do what they do". I started socialising with like minded people who saw my potential and encouraged me to put myself out there and here I am today somewhere I'd never thought possible, I took the plunge and decided to compete! This first week has been an absolute whirlwind and it's only the beginning of the journey! These photos are only ONE week difference with the help of my amazing coach @mariahjeancarew  who has helped every step of the scary way. The next transformation I will be sharing will be the end result which I'm beyond excited for and have complete faith in my coach to get me where I need to be 😁 happy days!! .

I truly believe you should be your own motivation, to strive to be a better version of yourself for you and to only compare yourself to the person you used to be instead of what other people are. Motivate yourself to progress in areas you're not happy with or wish to be better whether it's fitness, career or even just personal growth. 
Being your own motivation will make you accountable for yourself which also comes with feeling really proud when you accomplish your goals.

It's just as important to train your mind as it is your body! I challenged myself to an intensive unit through mid year uni break this year which I'm super nervous about but I'm also so excited! I always try to push myself out of my comfort zone because without challenges you can't grow 😊 happy Saturday everyone!

Surround yourself with positive people!

This is something that I think everyone struggles with and can have so much influence over our lives. But having people around you who bring you up instead of planting doubt in your mind could be the key to you achieving your dreams and goals. Life is hard enough as is without having people around who don't support you, believe in you and just make you smile everyday! It's difficult because sometimes you can really care about someone in your life but they are bringing you down and possibly even restricting your potential, but distancing yourself from those people you'll only see positive changes! So make sure you choose to spend your time with people who share the same mind frame, ambitions and goals. .

After having a few weeks off training and eating badly, it feels so good to be back eating clean and working hard. Although it's good to have a break when it's needed, being healthy just feels so good! 😌

Also wearing my new @obsessedgymwear tights that arrived yesterday which are incredibly soft and comfy! .

🎀 TRANSFORMATION 🎀 
The photos on the left are from 2017 where I weighed roughly 54kg and although I did train it was mainly cardio and light weights. I under ate and over trained and I generally felt really low in energy and was never happy with my body. I had extreme gym anxiety and was so unsure of what to do or how to do and I just didn't have the confidence to push myself.
The photos on the right are current photos and weighing around 61kg at maintainence level. I track my macros and calories to make sure I'm eating in surplus if I'm bulking so I can grow and I lift heavy! I constantly try new ways of training, new ways of eating to reach my desired goal and I feel confident in my own skin (most of the time, who doesn't have their off days though?!). Although there is a drastic change in my appearance body wise where I have put on a lot of muscle, one thing a friend pointed out was the change in my confidence that's apparent by my expressions! Bodybuilding has given me a lot of confidence in myself constantly pushing myself out of my comfort zones and making me feel great when I accomplish things I didn't think possible. So for anyone feeling overwhelmed by lifting because they don't know what to do or don't feel comfortable in their own skin, if I can do it so can you!! Just one step at a time, your body and mind will thankyou later ðŸĪ— .
