#Fantasy is borderless. It is vast, endless and incomplete, but only a fraction of it is used in the creative process. Just as a personal project could be free of external demands and choices, one will find new ways to constrain and restrict himself. #Designers are bound a piece or by a concept, they set a specific purpose, a goal or wish, which creatively results in a product of fantasy controlled by the mind.
This makes the #concept of fantasy in the #creative process highly paradoxical, because ultimately it cannot be #materialized . As soon as it is captured, it no longer represents its original essence. The same way one could never actually fully achieve their goal, as when this moment is reached, the goal had already been transformed into something else. You can grasp the tail but the lizard runs away. Therefore, it’s impossible to fully transfer fantasy into real world phenomena and #objects . #MarijaPuipaitė & #VytautasGečas - 2 years ago
