The reason this photo is so repulsive to most people is because humans are herbivores. This kind of view excites carnivores and omnivores of which humans are physiologically NOTHING like. This is why the process of slaughtering animals and most of their bodies are hidden from the human consumer. •
Montreal, last week: The driver of a truck coming out of a slaughterhouse slammed his brakes, causing guts and entrails of pigs to spill out and spread all over ~
There's no nice colorful plastic packaging or happy dancing pigs shown here - this is just the reality of meat.
I didn't create this page to post happy-chappy banal crap, pictures of me looking pretty or to become instafamous (apparently this term exists - another sad reflection of our very sad times.) I created this page to expose and share the ugly and disgusting truth. To reach those who do care and want to do and be better.
This is ham, bacon, chorizo, cheese. This is what most have been brainwashed to believe is "a lovely dinner", "delicious food", "a healthy source of protein", "happy family times." Let's leave the bullshit euphemisms aside and call it what it is: it's blood, guts, suffering, violence, corpses of tortured animals, fear, panic, entrails... It's violence and murder. It's true horror, and for the animals is pure HELL.
Most importantly and unbelievably - it's totally unnecessary and morally unjustifiable.
I've seen some people mocking these scenes and making fun of the animals' suffering and atrocious deaths. Why commenting "bacon, yum" on a vegan post? Why refusing to watch the videos? Of course, the answer is guilt. Because any sane and caring person knows that what we are doing to animals is absolutely wrong.
