I spent so many years hiding who I really am. I grew up on Long Island, New York in a town where most of my peers were studying medicine or engineering. There was a certain expectation and standard I felt growing up, especially being first generation American, coming from a traditional household and also being raised in a pre-millennial Christian religion. New age practices are not the norm where I am from, in fact, it is often seen as impractical and ‘out there’. Being an astrologer was never something I imagined studying growing up. If someone told me how my life was going to pan out 10 years ago, I would not have believed you.
I always felt somewhat out of place until my spiritual awakening in 2012. That’s when I really found myself, I found more joy than I ever had known. But it can be hard to feel different than your peers and family, it really forced me to unconditionally accept myself. I feel a deep yearning to bridge the gap between the spiritual and physical world. Even though, I do not think they are mutually exclusive. I really believe there is a lot we do not fully understand about energy. But I will say this, it’s very real. Mediumship is very real, there are energies around us that we can’t see and your thoughts create your reality more than you think.
