😂 these girls are just the best. We warmed up with musical cones. Crab toe touch until the music stops then all hell breaks loose. Run and find a cone and hold a plank over it (and look out for kicks 🦵). If you didn’t get a cone hold a wall sit and do some snow angel work on the wall with those arms 😉. I had a non-scale victory today! It may not  seem a lot to you, but to me it is. I was able to do 18 push-ups ON MY TOES today. I have NEVER been able to do that. In high school legs were my strength, and today they still are. •

When I’m struggling or say that I can’t do it. I remind myself that I am getting stronger every single day. Mentally and physically. I’m so happy I started this journey and I feel so good about myself lately. Let me tell you, it feels so good. To actually be confident again? •

Easter weekend is here and my family arrived tonight. My goals are to stick to my nutrition and work out. Simply stick to my plan. I deserve to not have a set back. I deserve to not be upset with myself. So I’m relying on you guys to hold me accountable. Will you?

💦💦PYRAMID WORKOUT💦💦
We have two different exercises. For the first movement, we are starting at the bottom of the pyramid, working our way to the top and then back down.  For the second movement, we are starting at the top of the pyramid, working our way down and then back up again. Complete 10 weighted jump lunges, 10 reptile pushups w/ plank jump, 15 weighted jump lunges, 8 reptile pushups w/ plank jump and so on.  Halfway through the pyramid, we will be doing a combo move for 15 reps. When done, you will finish the other half of the pyramid.

▪️Be very careful of the placement of the band. It must be in the arch of your foot. Always have your foot flexed.  20 reps of each for 5 mins .

▪️Glute bridge.  Always press Through your heels and squeeze at the top. Slow and steady.  25 reps of each for 5 minutes .

▪️Hamstring hinge. Be careful of the placement of the van to. It should be around the arch of your foot. Slow and steady. Keep your hips always facing the same direction. 15 reps of each for 5 minutes .

▪️Hamstring press.  Make sure you are leading with your heel. Slow and steady. 25 reps of each. Set timer for 5 minutes

Most of us spend at least 40 hours a week in an office, and the majority of that is spent in front of a screen, which can not only affect our posture and eyesight, it can even cause lasting health issues. To counteract this, let’s embrace the “work out at work” mentality and put a new focus on fitness to get big benefits—like stronger muscles and bones, reduce stress (who doesn’t need that?!), increased productivity and better off health—while we’re on the clock!

All you need is a #resistanceband and get ready to work those muscles (you might feel a little awkward until you get the hang of things). Do 3 sets of 10 reps, or split the exercises up by time—45 seconds per exercise.

My own health issues helped me to realize the depth of my responsibility to myself and my family to begin truth-seeking research and investigation into the realm of nutrition and exercise.  I have read countless books on nutrition….some 100% contradicting eachother while some had alot of similarities. I have made the choice to take the best of each and create my own plan. .

I think it's a bad idea to take the cookie cutter approach when it comes to nutrition.  Everyone is different! So take a nice, deep sigh of relief and do what feels right for YOU! Here is why you’re skinny fat…

You are working smarter not harder…
When I go into the gym I see all the treadmills full of women who do hours and hours of cardio.
Trust me, at one point I was there, too.
I fell into the trap of believing that cardio was the only way to lose weight, and boy was I miserable.
.
Will you burn calories and lose some weight by doing cardio for hours? For sure.
But you know what else happens:
You end up SKINNY FAT!

I spent my entire life skinny fat (before I gained 70 pounds) because I was terrified to pick up a weight
▶️What if I look stupid?
▶️I don’t even know what to do!
▶️I don’t want to look manly!
▶️I’m intimidated by the people who lift, they will judge me!
All these thoughts ran through my head as I hopped on the nearest treadmill and hated my life foe a solid 2 hours.

The thing is, when you do this you’re working way harder AND you end up skinny fat.
Because I lift weights, here’s the advantages I have over you:
✅ My workouts can be done in 30-45 mins
✅ I choose when I want to do cardio INTENTIONALLY
✅ My body works for me, and burns more calories at rest due to my increased metabolic rate (for every pound of muscle mass, you burn an extra 50-100 calories at rest)
✅ I look like a badass lifting heavy weight
✅ I have that famous “toned” look
I’m working smarter, while you’re still working harder.

That is all I can say today. Today has been A DAY. Between feeling like crap, stressing out getting wedding details taken care of, and having ZERO motivation to actually take care of my body today, it was hard AF to even pull myself out of bed.

Forever a country boy! My husband didn’t get on a plane until he was 21 and even still, he rarely traveled unless it was work related. Then he met me! A military brat who spent 5 years in Japan before the age of 7. Some of my best memories growing up are on an airplane with my brother who passed away in 2011. •
Almost 12 years of traveling together....multiple countries with plenty more to see!

Not only is this an amazing personal achievement but it tells me a few things:

1. What was once a scary decision was the best decision for me
2. Passion truly does breed success
3. I’m helping a lot of people lead a healthier lifestyle and it doesn’t get much better than that

These last two months have been the most rewarding of my life! Not only has coaching held me accountable to my own goals but I’ve also had the pleasure of holding others accountable for reaching theirs, and let me tell you these ladies I’m working with are doing absolutely amazing! They reassure me every single day that I CAN do this and they are WHY I do this

I got a bike! I'm riding in a parking lot until I get over my nervousness, but I"m so excited for the new adventures the Handsome Hubby and I will get up to now!

A little back story - I didn't learn to ride a bike until I was 16, and then I got hit by a car while riding, shortly before I bought a car of my own, so I never rode much. Hence the nervousness. But I'm getting over it already!

And don't I look stylish with my under-helmet-beanie action? 😂 For real, though, it was cold.

When I started online fitness coaching in 2017, I didn’t know it at the time, but I struggled with my nutrition. I always considered myself a healthy eater and knew all the healthy things to eat...BUT...my portions were NOT balanced. Too many healthy fats, not enough veggies...can you relate?! .

Just because I knew what to eat, didn’t mean I knew HOW to eat it...

One thing I can honestly say that I love about what I do is treating health as a lifestyle!! There is really no start and stop, there will be seasons of on-pointness (that’s not a word, but I liked it😉😜) and other seasons of maintaining...but...no matter what my goals are, I know I have the solution to making it a lifestyle...and YOU can too!!👊🏼
