$280. Not a small chunk of change. For me atleast.
I mean, we know the importance of kids being involved with teams, but does anyone else throw up in their mouth a little at the cost of them? Like for a 6-week program? And for 2 kids??? Not to mention what happens when they want to be in more than one activity??? But thankfully that fear I had a few years ago is gone.
I get to proudly plop my butt in a chair for 2 hours and watch these kids have a blast on the football field. The smiles that they give after they make a good tackle, or touchdown, or interception - when they look back to see if we were watching - is priceless!! The lessons they’ve learned from working on a team of kids they didn’t know at first, is awesome. And them asking if they can play again next season is met with an “ABSOLUTELY”. With no panicking at what the bank account looks like.
When I first started this business, I was just excited to make enough money for my own products. Then it was having someone mow our lawn for us every week. Then, sports came in the picture. Swim lessons. Soccer. Now football. And in fact, this year I actually asked them if they wanted to play soccer AND football, but they said they wanted to just focus on one.
But you know how good it feels to just be able to OFFER it without the panic sitting in? To have the extra cash instead of wondering what you can take out of the budget to make this work? Or making your kids choose one activity over the other?
So yeah, to say this business has been a blessing is an understatement. To say that I’m not thankful for this opportunity which has allowed my family so much financially, including our paid-in-full trip to Hawaii in 33 days (yes I’m counting), would be a lie.
Kinda crazy how this whole “lets see what’s possible” thing has turned out for me. And for those still watching - I’m not done yet!
What would you do with an extra $200/week? - 2 hours ago
