Day 3 of early morning workouts before my coffee (several hours ago 🤣)!! Working on myself one day at a time. .
Trying to be fierce like my mama bear shirt, and that includes FIERCELY loving my imperfectly perfect body. Society tells me i should pick myself apart, and wish for a "better" body. It's hard to work against something that's ingrained in us from childhood. But i TRY to remember that this body has birthed children, carried me through nearly 4 decades, pushes wheelbarrow after wheelbarrow, digs post holes, hauls animal feed, does weeding squats for hours, runs a high volume acupuncture clinic, swims in rivers, hikes up hills and mountains, and still keeps going without ever demanding that I love it. But I do. Exercising is an act of love, eating food that heals my body is an act of love, eating food that brings me joy 🍕🍔🍨 is an act of love, taking rests, listening to my body, and treating myself kindly are acts of love. Picking apart our perceived "flaws" is not an act of love. .
And so....I am committing to 100 workouts starting July 29th to gain strength, to relieve stress, to feel my best, and yes, to fit into my favorite clothes better. I'm sure my body will change because that is what they do, but we don't have to seek change just because we dont like where we are. We can love and accept ourselves the whole way. Like i said, one day at a time. .
