I used to think that being spiritual was to renounce and detach from anything material, especially beauty. I thought being spiritual was to bare myself back, grow out my body hair, dress like a “hippie”, or shave my head like a monk.
I tried to deny things until I realised that being spiritual wasn’t about looking like a certain type of person, just so I fit the mold. For some people their physical desires don’t have anything to do with them feeling feminine, and that’s amazing! I’ve spent many years on a journey discovering what femininity means to me, to other women, and how i want to present myself.
The authentic me loves showing my self- expression through clothing, makeup etc.
I love to feel sexy and for me that is expressing my truth. There is nothing more spiritual about a woman who knows her preferences, knows how she likes to show up in the world, and feels confident to freely express herself in whatever physical way she wants!
So this is just a reminder to all women, don’t surpress your truth. Heck, I’m a Leo sun and rising, creative self expression is pretty much what I live for! Society makes women feel guilty for how they naturally look, society also makes women feel guilty when they change the way they look.
If you want to never shave your armpits... do it!
If you want to have a mo-hawk... do it!
If you want to paint your face up... do it!
If you want to pierce your whole face... do it!
If you want to dye your hair pink... do it!
If you want to dress sexy af... do it!
If you want to tattoo your body... do it!
Be whoever you are, know whoever you are, that’s self-knowledge. And to me self-knowledge is the core of spirituality 🖤🔮 - 2 hours ago
