So yesterday here in North Carolina was a anxiety filled day. Severe thunder storms☈⛆ and tornado watch and warnings. I made a bunker in a big closet and I will admit with the weather added more pain. I had no time to really concentrate on it. I just kept taking my meds, and yes a few Xanax and tried to keep calm. I was grabbing the dog and cats and heading to the closet with the warnings and every noise that I thought might be a tornado.🌬
This girl is from Maine. I'm use to hurricanes, noreasters and heck we load up on the liquor and beer back home and call it a party. I'm use to power outages and being snowed in but the thought of a tornado scares the living shit out if me.
My husband has lived in N.C. for over 12 years and is a postal carrier for the usps so this weather like this is not a worry to him.🤓 So as I hid in the closet he made pizza and kept saying it's fine Penny, you can come out. Lol
The watch was till midnight and hubby and I stayed up binge watching Deadwood so I didn't get to sleep till after 4am. I was up for 24 hours. You would think I would have slept but nope!! too much pain all over and one of my knees in particular.
I woke at 8am and went out with Brody🐕 to check on my kitties 🐈and to see if there was any damage. The kitties in the sanctuary are fine. My rose bush has taken a beating and we have a pond in the back yard but other than that we are so very lucky and I am filled with gratitude.
Thank you all for checking in on me, checking to see if Bob and I were okay. Even asking if the kitties would be okay. Your all so great.
As you see there is the calm and beauty after the storm. Mother nature is a amazing, beautiful thing. 🌳⚘🌍🌞 - 20 minutes ago
