Breakfast baked oats recipe - 1 medium ripe banana
- 1 tbsp peanut butter - 1/2 cup rolled oats 
Mashed up the banana using a fork. When banana is all mushy, add in the peanut butter and mix well. Then, add in the rolled oats and combine till well mixed. Place it in a microwaveable mug and bake it in the oven for 20 mins. ( u can use this time to shower, pack and even dance around 😂😜) .

Oil Free, Fruit Free Buckwheat Granola ❤️
Gluten free, vegan and reduced sugar.
I used some @orgran_healthandnutrition Buckwheat Crispibreads for extra crunch. You just break them up into bite sized pieces and add to the mix. It’s a great way to add some volume to your granola and use up things you have around the house.
So yum! 💕
I used aquafaba instead of oil to help with binding and a crispy result 👌
The kids have already approved as an after school snack, and I’ve been shoving it in by the handful ☺️ plus the house now smells amazing ❤️ Winning 💚
Oil Free Buckwheat Granola

1/2 cup coconut flakes
1 cup Buckwheat puffs (or rice)
5 Buckwheat crispibreads (broken into bite sized pieces)
1 Tbsp chia seeds
1 cup mixed nuts and seeds (I used slivered almonds, walnuts and Peoria’s)
1/4 cup xylitol (or sugar of choice)
1/4 cup maple syrup 
1/4 cup aquafaba 
1 tsp vanilla extract 
Preheat oven to 160C
Mix dry ingredients in a bowl
Mix wet ingredients and add to dry
Stir to coat
Press into a lined baking tray
Bake for 30mins, stirring once
Allow to cool
Store in an airtight container

Plant Protein Powder w/ Omegas-Homemade-All natural

I came up with this last month when my mum was being coaxed by some sham dietician to buy her ‘protein shake’ powder. While I don’t encourage my parents incorporate healthy eating habits, I had to put my foot down when it came to this. And so came this homemade complete protein & healthy fats CHURAN!

Instead of opting for a highly processed plant protein isolate, how about trying this all natural one and giving it a go?
Here’s what’s in:
10 tbsp Flax seeds (alsi)
10 tbsp Hemp hearts
10 tbsp Chia seeds
5 tbsp Fennel seeds

What you do:
-In a blender, pulse the seeds individually (as they require different amounts of time) to powder them
-Be careful not to overdo this, you don’t want a paste!
-Mix all the powdered ingredients
-Store in airtight container in the fridge
-Start with 1 tbsp a day. It’s great as a post workout! Can be gradually increased to 2 tbsp a day!

Cauliflower & Potato Cheeze Bake!

This is such a fricking good recipe, after i first made it i couldn’t wait to make it again!! Adapted from “Peace and Parsnips by Lee Watson”

Very optional with ingredients etc, however how we made it was as follows…
🔥
Ingredients:
6 x Potatoes
1 x Cauliflower Head
1 x Broccoli head
1 x Onion
2 x Black bean cans

Cheeze sauce:
1 x cup Cashews (soaked in boiling water)
1 x Coconut milk can
3/4 x cup Nutritional Yeast
1 x tbsp Apple Cider vinegar
1 x tbsp Lemon juice
1 x tsp Garlic powder, Tumeric
Salt and Pepper to taste :)

First Boil a pot of water and add in the potatoes. When soft, take them out and add in cauliflower and broccoli for 8 min and 4 min respectively (Save this water for soup if you want!!)

While potatoes are boiling you can make the sauce! Add all ingredients to a blender/food processor and blend until smooth. I play around with the measurements of vinegar, salt and nutritional yeast the most when making Cheeze sauces so feel free to experiment!!

Mash potatoes and cauliflower into chunky pieces and fry up onions in a seperate large pan, when done add potato, cauliflower, beans and Cheeze sauce! Mix until hot and add to a deep baking tray, adding broccoli on top. Place in grill until top layer is brown and crispy and begin to enjoy!!

Beautiful Smoothie Bowl with Raspberries & Cauliflower 💕 🥬

I might be a bit late to the game, but cauliflower in smoothies and “nicecream” is great - makes it very creamy and in less need for bananas. I sneaked in a little bit of beetroot and kale for a super-boost. The more frozen produce you use, the thicker and more ice cream like you get it. Or add ice cubes.

120 ml (1/2 cup) oat mylk (less if you like it thicker)
50 g frozen raspberries
30 g cauliflower, frozen 
1/2 small beetroot, peeled
Small handful of kale
1/2 frozen banana
1 tbsp almond butter
1 scoop vegan protein powder .
Optional toppings: Pomegranate, raspberries and desiccated coconut

Mix in a high speed blender until smooth, put in a bowl and add your favourite toppings. Enjoy!

So many people put in the hard work while in the gym but are simply not putting enough effort into their nutrition. ⁣

This is where the real progress is made.⁣ ⁣
During intense resistance training the muscle fibers tear, during rest they recover and grow (how they grow depends on the quality of rest and nutrition). ⁣
If you are not feeding your body the right micro/macro nutrients,  this process is less effective. ⁣
⁣
Make sure to load up on complex carbohydrates pre and post workout (pre to fuel the work out and post to restore depleted glycogen storages), add a clean source of protein, some healthy fats and of course some greens for their micro/phytonutrients.⁣

This is a pretty standard post workout meal for me -⁣

Easy loaded tomato soup

I always get requests for easy and cheap meals to make and this is definitely one of them! I found some tomato soup with very clean ingredients at my grocery store on sale. Tomato soup alone is not enough to satiate my hunger, so I added brown rice and lentil pasta (optional). I also added some spinach for some nutrients, and toasted chickpeas, avocado, and scallions on top.

To make, boil the tomato soup, brown rice, and lentil pasta till the rice is cooked. In the meantime, toast some chickpeas in the oven till crispy. When the soup is done, take it off heat and add in some chopped spinach and stir. Top with the chickpeas, scallions, and avocado (optional)

I’m going to be completely honest, this week has NOT been my week lmao 😭😂 I didn’t get the best score in my first mock exam which I’ve been revising literally 2 months for, I’ve been dealing with a cold which I barely do but of course it comes during exam week, I misread my rota and came in an hour late to work... and it’s only Wednesday 🤦🏻‍♀️ BUT since im a glass half full kinda bitch... it’s ONLY 🥈WEDNESDAY and I still have 4 days and I know there will be better ones to come and this week will still be amazing. I know that I’m trying my absolute best and that’s all that matters; I need to stop bogging myself down over the teeniest things because I am more than that and I 👏🏼 deserve 👏🏼 better 👏🏼

this mornings breakfast was SUCH A YUMMY smoothie bowl. You can’t go wrong with a smoothie bowl so even though everything else in my life is going wrong at least I can make a damn good breakfast 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 this was a blend of 1 banana, 1 cooked beetroot, frozen blueberries, 1 scoop of @vivolife açaí blueberry protein powder, and a handful of spinach. I topped it with more frozen bloobies, seeds, and @rawgorilla’s raspberry granola which is SO YUMMY oh my goodness 😍 today’s going to be a good day 🌈

Morning! After running 20K, your body asks for some antioxindants to speed up muscle recovery. Cheeries and strawberries are excellent choice. Banana adds up as it is rich in potassium and protein. And apple as a vitamin C source. Perfect breakfast combinations. Add some oatmeald or chia seeds and you feel amazying after it - full of energy. 💪👈😛

BERRY BANANA NICE CREAM (inspired by AJ): For dessert with  my whole-food, plant-based, no-oil (WFPBNO) dinner Monday night I had a generous serving of homemade Berry Banana Nice Cream, along with a nicely ripe banana.

The main course? A hearty serving of Impromtu Veggies-in-the Fridge Stir-Non-Fry. That dish included: Onions; Bell Peppers; Snow Peas; Broccoli; Bean Sprouts; Scallions; a bit of Sesame Seeds; fresh grated Ginger; and a few shakes of a Chinese Five Spice blend (herbs/spices only). Plus, some no-salt-added veggie broth.

I served that over brown rice, and topped it with a bit more sesame seeds, a small amount of dry-roasted, unsalted peanuts, a few spritzes of low-sodium soy sauce, and a couple small drizzles of teriyaki sauce.

Very tasty main course!!

Well hey! Welcome to my plant based food page 🥑 no idea what I’m gonna do here other than post wfpb/ wslf food ideas but hopefully someone enjoys it *hides insecurity* 🙄😋😉 Here’s a tip for overcoming insecurity: if you mix tinned organic lentils, pasta sauce, parsley, basil, nutritional yeast, spinach, onion, garlic powder, vegan chicken stock as an oil replacer and capers— you get an amazing pasta sauce to throw on your gluten free spaghetti (my choice here was corn/ rice pasta) 🍝🍝

IMPROMPTU VEGGIES-in-the-FRIDGE STIR-NON-FRY (inspired by AJ): For my whole-food, plant-based, no-oil (WFPBNO) dinner Monday night I made an Impromtu Veggies-in-the Fridge Stir-Non-Fry. That dish included: Onions; Bell Peppers; Snow Peas; Broccoli; Bean Sprouts; Scallions; a bit of Sesame Seeds; fresh grated Ginger; and a few shakes of a Chinese Five Spice blend (herbs/spices only). Plus, some no-salt-added veggie broth.

Turned out very tasty. And it was so simple to create!

I will post separately about the meal, as well as the dessert, I had that night.
