What is Your Brain Predicting?
The Positive Habit Weekly Blog - June 24th, 2019

During my research for 'The Positive Habit' book, I found out that a predominant feature of the brain is that it works as a prediction machine. This week I experienced first hand this prediction mechanism at work.
I have just moved house from a busy main road to an exceptionally quiet spot overlooking a beautiful garden (I'm very blessed, I know)!. The silence is simply stunning and YET when I go to sleep I STILL hear the distant din of road traffic!
In this week's video, I will help you to examine your mind and how it predicts. Some of these predictions will serve you well while others will not. A large part of anxiety and stress comes from predicting the worst outcomes and this is based on knowledge of events from your recent past and childhood which have conditioned and primed you to expect the worst. Chronic pain can also operate in this way; the brain expects and anticipates pain and therefore that is what is created. It is our job to interrupt these negative predictions and replace them with those that are, at the very least, neutral and at best, positive.
In order to help more people and deal with those who can't get a slot in my overbooked clinic, I am organizing a very small, intimate, group, self-care, hypnotherapy masterclass that will bring The Positive Habit to life. More details below and booking details to be announced shortly.
Sending love and light as always,
