Steak is a food that almost everyone who eats meat loves. The problem with it, however, is that it can be quite fatty, making it a high calorie delicacy that can never be touched when you’re trying to lose weight. Luckily for us, not all steak was created equally!
There are several cuts of steak that are actually pretty low in fat and can be fit into your weight loss plan without much difficulty. Here’s I’ve pictured 5 of the leanest cuts of steak available. Next time you’re craving a juicy 6oz, go for one of these to save yourself some calories!
Red meats like steak are high in iron and vitamin B-12, which aids in keeping your immune system at peak condition. It is important to note, however, that red meat should only be consumed in moderation, as excess consumption can increase risk of cardiovascular conditions like hypertension.
