En general, ayunos cortos como el protocolo 13/11 son saludables y seguros para la mayoría de adultos.  Sin embargo, ayunos más largos podrían traer riesgos para algunos.

No deben practicar el ayuno intermitente:

Menores de 21 anos.
Madres embarazadas o en lactancia.
Personas con bajo peso,  desnutrición, anemia o sospecha de anemia.
Personas con historia de trastornos de alimentación.

Do you feel ashamed when you overeat?⠀

Do you feel guilting for eating more than you needed even when you felt full?⠀
-⠀
If there is one experience I have had more as a coach than any other, it is this feeling.⠀
-⠀
And I am here to tell you that overeating is not something you should try to fight.⠀
-⠀
“Did he just say it is okay to overeat?!”⠀
-⠀
Not quite. What I am saying is you have terrible odds against overeating in the moment.⠀
-⠀
There are two major reasons why:⠀
⠀
1. Your brain has been evolving to do whatever it takes to find and eat food and water since before human beings were even a species.⠀
-⠀
2. You are living in an environment with more food than the brain has ever seen and in a time where food is being engineered to have you eat more of it.⠀
-⠀
If you are trying to fight overeating in the moment while you crunch on tortilla chips at your favorite Mexican restaurant, you are not going to win, and that is okay.⠀
-⠀
The only effective way to control overeating is to preparation and avoidance.⠀
-⠀
For example, if you know you are going out for Mexican food later and that you have no self control around tortilla chips, than it is best you stay away from them. ⠀
-⠀
Empower yourself in knowing your weakness and preparing for it.⠀
-⠀
The other best practice for avoiding overeating is making sure you consume more foods that grow out of the ground, walk and swim on the earth, and are naturally sweet (like fruits).⠀

Whole food has fiber, and fiber is an overeaters best friend. Don’t believe me? Try overeating a stock of broccoli.⠀

While I get caloric load is important, quality is the top priority. 2 tbsp organic apple cider vinegar (with the mother)

2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

½ - 1 tsp ground ginger

¼ tsp ground cinnamon

1 tsp raw honey

1 cup hot water

Instructions

Mix all ingredients with the hot water.

Stir them well so that there is no cinnamon or other ingredient left at the bottom of the cup.

In my opinion some sort of squat ie. hack squat, Smith machine squat etc is required. It doesn’t need to be your typical back squat.

DOES INTERMITTENT FASTING WORK FOR WEIGHT LOSS?? Well kind of, but so does anorexia or bulimia.

As a personal trainer to successful and busy professionals I get asked questions like this all the time by clients just like you who are confused about what the best method is to lose weight and get in shape.

The promise of intermittent fasting is definitely appealing, you go for in most cases 16 hours without eating and then eat what you want over a period of 8 hours.

The rationale is that you just can’t eat enough during only 8 hours to gain weight, and in fact you will lose weight this way.

And the reality is that for some this may be partially true… but we all know someone, maybe the guy looking back at you in the mirror, that even in just 8 hours can do some serious damage and consume a TON OF CALORIES.

And your body doesn’t care if the excess calories you are getting are from one meal a day or spread over the full 24 hours, if you take more calories in than you are using you will end up getting fatter.

But that’s not to say that intermittent fasting doesn’t work at all, just that it is not a magic pill.  You still have to be conscientious about what you are putting in your mouth.

The better question to ask is whether intermittent fasting is the optimal way to lose excess weight?

The key to any weight loss strategy, and the methods I employ with my clients is to take in fewer calories than you are using during the day. Period.

I like to use a more sustainable approach with my clients, finding their caloric and macronutrient needs and fulfilling these needs with regular feedings, like with 5 smaller meals spread throughout the day.

Spreading the meals out has several advantages, including stopping the body from breaking down its own muscle for the energy it needs during the day.

But, that being said, intermittent fasting can be used as a tool in specific scenarios to lose weight, but I don’t see it as an optimal or long term approach to reaching your goals.

Good morning have been away from Instagram for awhile. Focused on my grind everyday I'm so into it I just forget to document got set reminders to take you guys along my journey and document so you can see the process. .

Update I weighed my self on Saturday and I'm down from 200lbs to 190lbs. I'm seeing the results from my meal and workout plan. I'm very happy I'm working very hard to reach my ultimate goal and I'm loving the process. It's not easy but I can tell you I'm enjoying the journey. God bless everyone and as always🧠💪🏼❤

Week 3 of mindful eating! 
Another way that we eat mindlessly is by wandering around looking through cabinets, eating at random times and places, rather than just thinking proactively about our meals and snacks. This slows us down for one thing, but prevents us from developing healthy environmental cues about what and how much to eat, and wires our brains for new cues for eating that not always ideal. (do you really want to create a habit to eat every time you get in the car, or other situations?) Sure, we all snack from time to time, but it can boost both your mind and body’s health, not to mention greatly helping your mood and sleep schedule to eat at consistent times and places. Yes, that means sitting down (at a table!), putting food on a plate or bowl, not eating it out of the container, and using utensils not our hands. It also helps to eat with others, not only are you sharing and getting some healthy connection, but you also slow down and can enjoy the food and conversation more, and we take our cues from our dinner partner, not over or undereating out of emotion.
When we put our food away in cabinets and the fridge, we also are more likely to eat healthy amounts of healthy food, so consider what’s around, where it is and whether it’s in sight. If we limit eating to kitchen and dining room, we are also less likely to eat mindlessly or eat while multitasking. When food is around, we eat it. And food, not always the healthiest, is often around at the holidays.
You don’t have to plan your food down to each bite, and its important to be flexible especially at special occasions, but just be aware of the fact that you might be changing your eating habits at different times of year or for different occasions. And when you do plan ahead, you are also more likely to eat the amount your body needs in that moment than undereating and indulging later, or  overeating and regretting it later.
Classic advice is to also not shop when hungry, but the middle path applies here as well. A psychological effect known as “moral licensing” has shown that shoppers who buy kale are more likely to then head to the alcohol or ice cream section than those who don’t.
