The only thing more magical than the lighting is these beautiful faces. Believe it or not, we get asked a very silly question a lot: “aren’t you scared that when you’re out there alone you’ll get eaten by the pigs?” Pigs get vilified in pop culture and media all the time. Colloquial language uses the term “pig” in exclusively derogatory ways. One or two films include a plot line where pigs attack and eat people; outside of a situation of starvation and pure survival (which would elicit extreme behaviors from people or dogs as well) this couldn’t be further from their typical behavior. Amazingly though, the average person knows so little about pigs beyond their existence as “products” that these bits of fiction stick out with undue prominence. Pigs are so docile and gentle naturally. Pigs live in harmony, love their friends (pig, human, cat, chicken), and gain so much security and confidence and contentment from these relationships. This is why it’s truly our main mission to represent them, in their natural state, just being them. .
