Still running behind on #aprilget2knowavintagedealer but I wanted to tackle the Day 16 theme of What’s Hot. When I was younger and a fashion baby, I thought following trends was the thing to do. I had gone through my teens wearing whatever the hell I wanted and not really giving a damn if people didn’t understand my style of ‘everything must clash in all different colours’. Then I hit uni, and in my second year the first item of black clothing snuck its way into my wardrobe. I lost my personal sense of style a bit, it was always still there under the surface, but I even started removing the vintage clothing from my wardrobe It’s really only in the last couple of years that I’m truly finding my own style again, and mostly I put that down to finally not giving a hoot what other people think. It’s honestly the most freeing feeling in the world, I highly recommend. So yeah, rather than focusing on a trend, I’m saying that it’s hot to be yourself, wear what makes you happy!
For me, this has meant re-finding my colourful side through make up and bold prints. This shirt was one of them. Sometimes the best thrift finds are just for keeps silk shirts are my new obsession; especially with prints like this 80s one I found a few weeks ago. I can’t wait to team this with my high waisted jeans now this springtime t-shirt weather has hit London
