To heal the body we must heal the mind 🧘♀️ Before I started on my new fitness routine I focused a lot on my mental health.
I spent a lot of time rebuilding my self worth, reminding myself I deserved love, happiness and health.
Many of us reject healthy food and a steady fitness routine because subconsciously we believe we don't deserve the effort.
We may be so unhappy in our minds we seek the distraction and dopamine rush of heavy foods, stimulating foods and processed foods.
This is especially true for those trying to transition to a fruitarian diet.
This way of eating is so light, it satisfies without physically creating heaviness in the digestive tract (like most people are used to.)
You don't feel full, you feel content.
The food is therefore not numbing like heavy foods are and emotions are felt fully throughout the day.
This can be so hard to cope with, and is often why people struggle with sticking to a raw lifestyle.
For these reasons, I created the 12 week inner work course, and when I'm coaching people on how to improve their health, we don't just talk about food or exercise, we focus a lot on inner work.
I teach you how to overcome your self doubts, self sabotaging behaviours, how to believe in yourself and that you deserve love!
When you really believe you deserve love, it becomes easier to love yourself with food, exercise, good rest, joyful activities and new adventures.
And health improves as a result.
A basic introduction for inner work is to practice mindfulness to help you improve your awareness skills.
This allows you to connect to your self more, to notice your thoughts and triggers and find happiness and gratitude in the moment.
I like to next move on to forgiveness, letting go of resentment which are stopping us from believing we do not deserve contentment.
After this I like to help people reconnect to their inner child and learn how to treat themselves with unconditional love and a nurturing intention.
