This morning I woke up wanting overnight oats but I hadn’t made any the night before, so this happened! I call it 10 minute (ish) overnight oats. I popped all my usual ingredients plus half a mashed banana into a bowl with 1:1 ratio of oats to unsweetened soy milk and left it in the fridge for a bit while I pottered about and chopped my fruit, then I got it out and topped it with the other half of the banana, some strawberries, cherries, blueberries, and almond butter plus a sprinkle of sultanas and cacao nibs.
Had a little trip out to pick up my herbal medicine this morning and I didn’t die hoping my cold is on its way out, though everything sounds like I’m underwater at the moment which is weird. Anyway, I also went to one of my favourite health foods shop where amongst other things my mum bought me a bar of my favourite montezuma’s chocolate, then this evening my dad came home with two pots of my favourite chocolate orange almond butter. So despite feeling pretty down in the dumps, anxious and useless this afternoon (probably due to the fact I’m on a lower dose of my anxiety medication as I’m trying to come off it! I’m definitely noticing the difference but so far I’m doing alright) and feeling like today wasn’t a good day, it’s actually been pretty great - I just have to look at the little things as well as the big picture.
