Park hopping around from Alamo Square to Mission Dolores Park.
If there’s one topics I’m not really a fan of discussing, it’s the weather. However, I’ll make an exception here. This is December 9th! People are out here wearing t-shirts and jeans, casually hanging out. That’s still insane to me, coming from someone who experiences 38°C (100°F) yearly in the summer but down to freezing temperatures in the winter. I don’t think I have could have picked a better day in December to come in visit San Francisco, it was amazing!
On to Mission Dolores... When you arrive, take a deep breath and smell the...weed? Just to disclaim, it’s not as an rampant as I just made it sound, but yeah, the smell will tickle your nose a bit while venturing through this park. It didn’t take long before I was approached and asked if I’d like to make a purchase and join the crowd. I appreciate all salespeople, well...some, but I’ll say that appearance goes a long way and I can’t say I’ll make a transaction with a shady guy dressed in all Raiders gear whispering if I’d like to buy his product. I can’t say I recommend anyone go through with that transaction either.
Similar to Alamo Square Park, stop by and have a stroll. I can’t say there’s a whole lot to do, but there’s definitely good restaurants nearby! Hit up Pancho Villa Taqueria if you’re ever in the area! Trust me, you won’t regret it!
Time was of the essence, after a filling late lunch it was onto the next stop... - 6 months ago
