i’ve loved this image since i captured it on our previous trip to venice. the way the light is peeking through, the textures, the details, and that colour palette (which actually inspired a current project’s palette), everything about it just speaks to me.
but because of the “perfectionist” in me, i kept it on the side thinking it wasn’t good enough - if only the grid was straighter. i was the one that took it, and blame myself for being short - if only I was taller... do you see a pattern here?
yesterday, i had a brief chat with my dear friend Catherine of @fromthegardenshed about this topic and it felt timely to share this image. i may not think it’s good enough, but someone else may appreciate it or even be inspired by it. if you feel discouraged today, i hope this photo’s light beam extends out to you. together, we can show up, stand tall and be present with our quirks, imperfections and beauty, just the way we are. - 32 minutes ago
