JJ Redick was honestly a big part of what we did as a team. Not only his impact on shooting and the offensive side of the ball, but his constant movement would tire out his defender, making them gast on offense. It wasn’t his best shooting year, at 39.7%, but it’s pretty good regardless, and he did average a career high in points at 18.1. JJ had his hot and cold streaks offensively, as any shooter will have, but on the defensive side of the ball, he was a liability, and that will not improve with age. Mixed opinions have arisen regarding his free agency status, but I think we should re-sign him.
In my opinion, Mike Scott was out 6MOTY. Scott was looked at as “the third guy in the trade” behind Boban and Tobias, but proved to fill the needs of the Sixers and the city of Philadelphia. His three point shooting and his tough personality allowed him to be the perfect spark off the bench for this Sixers team. He has expressed interest in re-signing, and I am 100% on board with it. He is a very versatile player that can play the 3-5, and I truly think he’s the perfect player to come off our bench. He’s also a veteran guy that has experience and is a great locker room presence.
