So often times I don’t know exactly what to say when I go to post on here... but over the next year, I really want to “write out” as much as I can so we don’t forget all the little moments on this journey. I basically plan to write a “book” after each destination. Haha! Feel free to read on or simply “like” the cute pics! .
Our first week (June 15-24) was spent in the Mountain View and West Plains, MO area. We parked in my parents driveway and slept half the nights in the house and half in the RV. Since we had no bathroom or a functioning kitchen, we spent the days in and out of the house all day. The weather was AMAZING, and I enjoyed the break from the mosquitoes and humidity of Houston! .
Chris finished the flooring, several detailed items, and continued to organize his tool collection while I condensed 15 years of memories together into 5 tubs that we kept in storage at my mom and dad’s. It’s an odd feeling having only those belongings plus what currently fits in the rv. I love it! .
The kids wore grandma and grandpa out, but had so much fun picking wild flowers, making their patio area a mess, playing in the kiddie pool, petting all the neighbor cats, feeding the birds while “saving” the worms, catching fireflies, and watching I Love Lucy and Andy Griffith. They especially loved grandma’s cooking, and grandpa’s antique marble collection! .
We managed to fit in some work early in the morning and late at night. Chris had a couple of website appointments, and we began to brainstorm lots of ideas and ways to continue to make money on the road with “all the things” we are doing including Young Living... stay tuned🏻
We took some time to visit some of the local fun spots and businesses. That was one of my favorite things... building connections and encouraging people along the way! Chris even got to preach at my home church which was an amazing experience... and we finally got to visit my friend’s (@mrstrantham ) farm close to where I grew up in the country! .
