The Wildwood Tarot Deck
A daylight like this deserved to be used for a good job, and so I set down outside on my balcony and decided to work on tarots for a couple of hours.
Well...what to say about this tarot deck? Along years of collecting tarot decks this is still one of my favourite ever...shamanic, witchy, deeply connected to the most ancient pagan traditions. It's a deck based on the Wheel of the Year and on both Celtic and Native American traditions, since the cards are subdivided not only in major and minor arcana, but according to the four elements (like the basilar structure of the Native American Sacred Hoop concept). Its proposal of divination is a journey among Spirits of Nature and Totem Animals, Green Men and Green Women, eagles and bears, carved stones and proud archers.
Absolutely nothing, no other divinatory instruments in the world, could be more appropriate for a witch like me.
Indeed, in my shamanic journeys I always wear feathers on my head, my totem is a mountain lion, and when I fly with my eagle/friend, She always bring me through my passed lives, in witch I was contemplating the sea from a northern coast, or riding a horse on a huge prairie.
