This is kind of an unpopular opinion, but I’m sticking by it. In Scott Frost’s 1st year, they didn’t perform well, but they have a lot of young talent. Nebraska has been good at recruiting for years, leading the Big 10 West every year since 2014. This year, they got 7 4 ️, and have the 4th ranked class in the Big 10, though the only teams ahead of them are in the East. QB Adrian Martinez looks to build off a tremendous freshman season, establishing himself as one of the top QBs in college football. Right now, it’s either him or Justin Fields in a battle for best in the Big 10, and he might just have him beat due to experience. The defense could end up being an issue though, and the reason they either thrive or fail miserably. Their schedule is really in their favor though, playing only 1 GOOD team (Ohio State, week 4). I see them winning 8 games minimum, seeing that their defense doesn’t disappoint. However, they could pull off some upsets and in a perfect scenario, win 10 games. On top of the fact they play in a very weak West Division, this could lead to them playing in the conference championship. And who knows, one game on one day can end in any result, so at the end of the year we could be seeing the Nebraska Cornhuskers crowned Big 10 Champions. That is pretty unlikely though, so this team is going to be very hot or cold. I’m going to say their are luke-warm. Not elite, but still a ranked team.
