Wet Weather Days🌧🌳 It has been pretty inclement weather here this week, flash floods and a month’s rainfall in a few days had led to us being stuck inside a little bit more than we would have liked.
With today being Father’s Day, I asked @jonbeete what he would like to do and as always he replied “Get outside and get into nature” So wellies and waterproofs on we headed to @ntbaddesley always a firm favourite with the 3 Musketeers as they all love the ducks 🦆 it was particularly special today though as they got to see a Mother duck and her babies.
It always amazes me watching her shepherd her ducklings and watch over them with love, it is obvious, so obvious. I don’t often talk about veganism or why I am vegan, when I watch the bond that she has with her babies though I resonate with her as a Mother and that is why I choose not to eat animals...I am shown all the time that they are just like us in so many ways.
I won’t really talk about it on here as it is a personal choice and to be honest, one that I feel is fraught with judgement, I also believe in balance, so just because you choose to eat meat, dairy, animal by-products then I am not going to think you are the devil incarnate, I ate all those things for 35 years, who am I to judge or preach. It’s a choice I made and one I live by, but if it isn’t for you I respect that🏼 Obviously being vegan is more than not eating meat, all of the beauty products, clothing and so on is part of the change - it is a lifestyle not a diet.
This was not meant to be a post about veganism! It just morphed into it as I wrote. If you have read this far, thank you for spending this time with me️🏼 I promised to show up 100% every time, so here I am, discussing something I am actually not very comfortable discussing yet...
