Healthy Apple Crisp
Apples: 4-5 apples (i like a mix of green and red), 2 tbsp cinnamon, 1 tsp cloves, 1 tsp ground ginger, juice of one lemon, 1-2 tbsp cornstarch (any starch would do), 1/2 cup of liquid sweetener (maple/ agave syrup or molasses). Chop apples into cubes and toss with all the other ingredients and put it into a glass oven dish (mine was a 9 by 9 square). Topping: 1 1/2 cups of oats, 1 cup of chopped walnuts, 1/2 cup of chopped almonds (you can always opt for other nuts or even seeds if you want to keep it nut-free ), 2 tbsp cinnamon, 1/4- 1/2 cup coconut oil (room temp), 1/4 cups liquid sweetener.
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and pinch them together with the coconut oil. (try to coat everything with the liquid ingredients to ensure crispyness )
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees celsius until the top is golden and crispy to your liking (mine took about 30 mins). Serve while it is hot and enjoy! . #veganfood #dessert #healthy #dairyfree #sugarfree - 5 minutes ago
