Following on from my last post about stress, I thought I would do a post outlining my favorite ways to manage stress. Now, keep in mind that just because certain things work for me, does not mean that they will work for everyone. ⁣
It is so important to identify what techniques work best for you when it comes to combating stress, so you are able to get on top of it as quickly as possible and use your body’s energy for more important things like digestion and maintaining overall health 😊😊⁣
⁣
My go-to techniques are: ⁣
-Breathing exercises (really focusing on your breath as you inhale and exhale) ⁣🧘🏼‍♀️
-Distracting myself with something I enjoy (exercise, listening to a podcast, reading a book, watching tv) ⁣🏃🏼‍♀️📚
-Talking to someone (cannot stress enough how important it is to have people to talk to when you’re feeling overwhelmed - whether it be a health professional or friend/family member, do not be ashamed to let someone know how you’re feeling) 🙌🏽⁣
-Sipping on a herbal tea specific for the nervous system (lavender, lemon balm, passionflower, chamomile) ☕️

Wij mensen zijn - onbewust en automatisch - vaak op zoek naar korte termijn bevredigingen en zijn daardoor hedonistisch ingesteld. We willen allemaal dat felbegeerde wondermiddel. Ik ben bereid om toe te geven dat ik stiekem dat ook erg graag zou willen! Ach, wat zou het leven dan hoogstwaarschijnlijk, in die parallelle wereld, zo veel gemakkelijker zijn! “Ik weet het gewoon 100 % zeker”, zegt dan mijn verstand. In plaats van dat mijn verstand mij een ander verhaal vertelt waarin strijden het lijden alleen maar stimuleert en uiteindelijk niets oplevert. Gelukkig hebben we ook een hoger bewustzijn, dat “beter weet” of moet ik zeggen in staat is om waar te nemen zoals het is (puur en zonder oordeel). Er is namelijk een alternatief voor weerstand bieden en dat is volledige acceptatie. Oh wat klinkt dat mooi en dan willen we plotseling ‘als een gek grijpen’ naar het fenomeen ‘Omarmen’ als een verlossend antwoord op onze dagelijkse of innerlijke worstelingen. De ervaring leert dat dit helaas niet zo werkt. Het leven werkt gewoon niet zo en dat weten we allemaal al veel langer diep in onze kern. Acceptatie betekent niets meer en niets minder dan: het durven toelaten, en dat zonder enige reserves, van alles wat is zoals het is; hierbij zonder de verwachting dat dan ‘de pijn’ wel verdwijnt (lees: moet verdwijnen). Vanuit dáár voornamelijk de weloverwogen keuze maken om bewust te focussen op het betekenisvol maken van het leven; en in dit kader te gaan doen wat je wil je doen om dat uiteindelijk te kunnen bereiken. Motto van het verhaal: Dus laat het allemaal toe en voel je je nog steeds shit, dat is dan helemaal okay! WTF?! Ich bin jetzt im vierten Level von Factorio und hab schon keine Lust mehr. Mir macht zwar das Produktionsstrecken bauen und optimieren spass, aber der Aspekt mit den Gegnern stresst mich eigentlich nur und setzt mich enorm unter Druck. I recently completed a Wellness course and I’m still amazed by how many women attending the course said they had Fibromyalgia. I’ve always believed that anyone who has been diagnosed with this is suffering from some kind of Trauma which they haven’t released properly and now it’s effecting the cells in their body. I believe the mind has great power over your body and has the capability to both heal it or make it unwell. “Fibromyalgia is often triggered by a stressful event, including physical stress or emotional (psychological) stress.
Possible triggers for the condition include:
🌟An injury
🌟A viral infection
🌟Giving birth
🌟Having an operation
🌟The breakdown of a relationship
🌟Being in an abusive relationship
🌟The death of a loved one “NHS”

With Fibromyalgia, the pain signals are transmitted through your neurological system and register in your brain.  Using a hypnosis approach, you can access these deep processes in your brain and neurology - and literally "re-programme" them.  At the same time (and in the same session) you can also start to heal from the underlying psychological or physical pressures (which may have triggered your Fibromyalgia, in the first place). Unless these are dealt with, your Fibromyalgia will continue to thrive.

Goede morgen allemaal, 
Terwijl de kindjes paaseieren aan het zoeken zijn kan ik buiten tussen de bomen even rustig wakker worden met een heerlijk kopje thee.

Vannacht heb ik slecht geslapen. Ik maakte mij overal zorgen om. De jongeren op mijn werk, een vriendin waar het niet goed mee gaat, Mette die aan het slaapwandelen was en vooral mijzelf. Angstig lag ik te woelen. Krampachtig probeerde ik op mijn ademhaling te focussen en daarna een mooie herinnering her te beleven. Relativeren in de nacht vind ik erg lastig. Uiteindelijk toch kort in slaap gevallen. 
De komende dagen ga ik weer even goed op de balans letten. Op tijd naar bed, wandelen en gezond eten. Al wordt dat laatste wel een uitdaging met de paasdagen.

Having to move house a month before you get married is not something I would recommend! It wasn't our choice and i don't think it would  be anyone's choice! If was stressful, tiring, upsetting and took time away from preparing for a very important day in our lives. But it's done now and despite all of the above there is always a silver lining. Beautiful views and walks right from our front door is one of them! For us fresh air, fields and plenty of places to walk and pup to run are positive changes!
