People ask me wether it is the same eating X kcal from A and B and I usually say ‘ yes ‘.Yes it is very simplistic to say that all that matter is calories because it is not. Although ceteris paribus, the law of thermodynamics says that it is the same (all about energy in and energy out), the impact it has in other variables makes the food indirectly change your intake; for ex. Foods higher in sugar, lower in fiber will make you less satiated & you may overeat- on the other hand, maybe your “ healthy “ snack don’t satisfy you PSYCHOLOGICALLY and i heard many people saying they end up OVER eating their healthy inventions just trying to find a similar taste to a simple piece of chocolate: and this is where BALANCE comes into place. You must be aware of what’s in food to make the best choices 90% of the time and allow yourself to enjoy a treat and ACCEPT the consequences - ex. Eating an ice cream will not curb your hunger nor it adequately fuels training for maximum performance .
Ok so I need to eliminate all processed foods? Well, if you want to live a miserable and restricted life yes 🤷🏼‍♀️ This is where people fail - a ‘ diet’ (diet= way of eating) is only sustainable if you can stick to it. If you feel like you can eliminate all your favorite foods forever then go ahead, do it! .
I PERSONALLY CHOSE to exchange a perfect diet, with Whole Foods, perfect macros, for being less obsessed with foods, macros, calories, stressing over social events, and allowing to giving into my cravings sometimes. Does that mean I eat junk 24/7? Far from that 😂 Ofc I only show you the ‘ good food ‘ here because no one likes to see chicken and veggies. .
The fact that I know what is ‘ optimal ‘ before, would make me feel obliged to follow it - BUT knowing how it feels to be on point and obsessed with everything enables you to CHOOSE if you want that life or not. .
To conclude: this is MY choice and if that’s not yours that’s OKAY. That’s how I found that living this lifestyle is sustainable. I love eating Whole Foods but I also love eating desert. In the end of the day, I always strive to choose what I know will make me feel happy in the long run, and you should do that to.

Passion, how do you come up with such creOATive bowls of oats?
Well oatlings, it’s no exact science. I simply see what we have left in the cupboards and throw it on my oats. If I’m hungry, I’ll add more stuff. If I’m not, I won’t add as much. 
Here we have apple oats topped with berries, peanut butter, persimmon and a bit of tear and share chocolate brioche.
Go forth oatlings and experiment with your topping combinations.

Un petit exemple de mes entraînements depuis 3 semaines. Pas forcément dans l'ordre d'exécution.

On commence avec du sled, 4 aller retours (20m aller) avec un sled chargé à 215kg

Ensuite on essai le continental press avec une fat barre, 80 kg en 4x1, pas encore l'habitude. La prise est vraiment différente et toute la technique est à apprendre.. . Et des chaussure de squat serait bien plus pratique pour la stabilité.
Je crois que @ROBIN_SBAI  valide le lock out. .

If you’re a beginner in the gym you may find yourself wandering all over trying to think of things to do. ⁣
⁣
You may get overwhelmed, end up staying on a piece of cardio equipment for 30 minutes and leave.⁣
⁣
After so many attempts of this you may just give up and never come back.⁣
⁣
I’m going to give you a quick break down of what to do at the gym:⁣
⁣
1. Warm up on a cardio machine of your choice for 5-10 min.⁣
2. Stretch, foam roll, activation.⁣
3. Get your compound lifts done (I.e. Squats, Deadlifts, Bench press, Hip thrusts, Leg press, etc.).⁣
4. Do 3-4 accessory movements. (I.e. Cable kickbacks, RDL, chest flyes, lat push downs, etc.)⁣
5. Do a cool down for 5-10 minutes on a cardio machine of choice.⁣
6. Leave!⁣
⁣

This can all be done within 45 minutes if you plan accordingly. If you’re new, you might take a little bit longer to familiarize yourself with the gym. ⁣

First time in a while that I’ve actually looked at a picture of me with a bikini/underwear on and haven’t felt unhappy 👏🏼😭💗

It’s only been a week at transformation camp and I truly believe it has already ‘transformed’ me... not in terms of how I look, because even though I know it would have already started to have an effect on my body the biggest transformation it’s had for me so far is for my mind 💭 .
It has been 41 weeks since I’ve moved down here 🙀 and this has been the first week that my mind has been in a good place when I’ve came from work, for that hour I’ve spent in the gym I’ve not thought about work or anything else other than improving me and honestly I can’t tell you how bloody amazing it’s felt 🧡

I’m absolutely loving transformation camp... for the first time since I’ve got here I’ve actually got people to talk to after work and that’s something I’ve missed the most 😩 since I’m here for work I haven’t really had many opportunities to make friends and yeah I get on with the people at work but I see them all day Mon-Fri so I wouldn’t want to be seeing them after work too 🤷🏼‍♀️ but transformation camp has given me a group of people who I get to chat to and it’s working wonders let me tell you 💖

The past five months have been some of the toughest months I've ever dealt with both mentally and emotionally. But thanks to @kstinadenee and @cyclebarmilford, I've found the strength to complete my first 💯 rides. 4500 minutes and over 1300 miles. With each class, I become stronger than I thought I could ever be. I am thankful every day for the new family I've found. I can't wait to see where the next few months take me.

Part of becoming who you want to be includes also finding out what you like to do, how you like to do it and what you want to achieve. My fitness journey had always been really irregular because I’m the type of person that gets easily bored of activities. But being fit and living healthy is the lifestyle I want to maintain and I’m really happy @slendertonede makes it easier for me. The bottom trainer became a support for me, it helps me to stay motivated and feel good even the days I want to quit because I’m lacking of seeing results on my body. Sometimes I just want to lay on the couch and do nothing, but still I know I can easily put on the trainer and not feel guilty about leaving out the gym this time. It’s still a way to go to achieve my body goal but I feel confident about it ! The life of a thriving extremist is 100% ALL-IN in the task-at-hand. You need BOTH EXTREMES to thrive, but how do you know WHEN TO SWITCH from one extreme to the other?

Deep Work vs. No Work
HEAVY Lifts vs. Yoga
SPRINT vs. Long slow walks

It’s a CONTEXT-DEPENDENT SKILL that you learn through observation, practice, & adjustments.

Here is one way:

SYNC YOUR SCHEDULES WITH YOUR MONTHLY CYCLES

Maybe you've read pieces on how to program/train based on your MONTHLY CYCLE. Here's a recap:
• (Days 1-14) When ESTROGEN is up, do all your HEAVY LIFTING. You're stronger + can tolerate all the carbs.
.
• (Days 15-30) When PROGESTERONE is up, focus more on endurance activities because you're weaker, more prone to injuries, + eat fewer carbs. [Of course, this is only if you're producing plenty of progesterone - many aren't]

Trying to hit massive PRs on Day 28 may frustrate you because you can be 5-10% weaker JUST BECAUSE OF YOUR CYCLE.

If you're regular, not birth-control-pill-bleed regular, but a real period regular, you can sync your program to your menstrual cycle for better gains.

You're HARD CHARGING & RE-CHARGING at the best times.

A few ways to implement this are...
• Match the HARDEST PART of a phase with the first week of your new cycle (usually W3 or 4)
• DELOAD or TRANSITION weeks on the last two weeks of your cycle.
• Use REP RANGES to account for normal hormonal fluctuations.
• WEIGHTS weeks 1-2, Bodyweight weeks 3-4

But the most important part is to NOT BEAT YOURSELF UP, FEEL GUILTY, or FORCE IT when your body doesn't want to "bring it" that day.

Get your reps in, focus on technique, & live to lift another day.

LAST 2 DAYS OF REVISION. I am in shock. Actual shook. Finished 7/8 exam yday so 1 more to go. I can’t believe I’m still alive and I can’t comprehend the fact it’s almost over. Training has taken a bit backseat since injuring myself and then just not making time, but brain is just all over the place. I’m fucking exhausted. Absolutely exhausted. But some nice external drive to get me through the weekend of finishing, as Honestly like my entire internal drive to even engage in conversation has plummeted. I need to sleep for 14 years. And my poor adrenal glands. But we’re almost there.

Getting back to it after holiday feels good but tough. It’s amazing how much less fit you feel and how much harder things are that you used to find them! The main thing is not to stress. Keep moving, don’t beat yourself up for being more tired or weaker than normal and just train, move, enjoy, sweat, relax and give it some time. We reckon a week of being back on my regular eating habits, training and not drinking alc should fix me right up 🥰

Such a fun sesh with MK yesterday turning me literally into the most disgusting sweaty human ever! 💦🧟‍♀️ we did a full body sesh and then some padwork:
✨treadmill warm up
✨battleropes - singles, doubles & burpees, and battlerope jump lunges and Russian twists
✨push-up jump through to tricep dip on the bars, and pulses
✨mini circuit rounds: sled push, high knee hurdles, 16kg kettlebell swings
✨playing in the ring

Having a PT to push you, correct your form, help you reach your goals, ensure your training is balanced and answer your q’s is so worth the investment. Yes, it’s a privileged thing to afford but it’s a q of priorities. Skip some cocktails or coffees out and quickly you can make that up!
If you’re looking for a PT then @kobox is the place for sure, everyone is super knowledgable but personally I couldn’t recommend @fitnesswith_mk enough ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ She always keeps sessions interesting, super challenging, tailored to my goals, she absolutely knows her shit, she can answer all your weird q’s crazy or stupid or not, she’s badass AF so when you’re not feeling it she’s like a tequila shot of motivation ⚡️ and will also tell it like it is. Plus her IG content is amaaaaaaazing.

Who else enjoys training on the weekends? I love starting my days off with a workout because it sets me up good for the day 👏🏼

I’ve started to book myself into classes to change things up a bit. Sometimes it’s good just to go to the gym and let someone else do the thinking for you, I also find I work just that little bit harder if I’ve got someone watching and I tend to try things I wouldn’t normally put into my workouts👏🏼👏🏼

I still like to resistance train 4 times per week but changing the way I do my cardio between classes, LISS (low intensity steady state), HIIT (high intensity interval training) etc has been a game changer for me 🤙🏼🤙🏼
