praticare questo sport meraviglioso m’ha aiutato nel momento più brutto della mia vita. Il Powerlifting non ha rafforzato solo i muscoli, ma anche la persona che sono: Mi ha dato la forza di vivere momenti difficili con la voglia di riuscire a superarli, ad accettare che a volte si vince avendo pazienza e lungimiranza e non solo osando di più. Ora è il momento di avere pazienza e per cercare di migliorarsi in vista della gara in casa del 29 settembre (sperando di toglierci qualche soddisfazione🤞🏽).
Ps: nella foto sto facendo pin squat, una variante che inizialmente odiavo con tutto me stesso, ma che ultimamente non mi dispiace fare (vuoi vedere che sono diventato masochista @andreasgabu @_cristinatonolini_ @robertogerolimon !?🤔😂)

Eine der wohl anstrengensten, aber auch besten Übungen für unsere Oberschenkel und Pomuskulatur. 🍑😜😋
Kniebeugen sind eine sehr komplexe aber auch äußerst effektive Übung und mit den richtigen Tipps, für Jedermann zu erlernen...also keine Scheu. 😊💪
Bei Kniebeugen, egal ob frei oder wie an meinem Beispiel an der Multipresse (zum üben gut für Neueinsteiger geeignet) sind die wichtigsten Merkmale:
- Kopf in Verlängerung zur Wirbelsäule
- fester schulterbreiter Stand
- eine angespannte Rumpfmuskulatur
- einen geraden Rücken (KEIN HOHLKREUZ❗)
Die Belastung bei dieser Übung liegt permanent auf dem hinteren Teil des Fußes, d.h. Ihr drückt euch nur mit der Ferse ab und nicht mit der Fußspitze.
Bei der Bewegung nach unten ist darauf zu achten den Po nach hinten-unten zu bewegen, sodass eure Knie maximal auf Höhe der Fußspitzen sind. (NICHT DARÜBER HINAUS❗) Bei der Bewegung nach oben, ist es in der Endphase wichtig, die Hüfte nach vorn zu schieben (so vermeidet ihr ein Hohlkreuz).👍
Ein kleiner Tipp noch am Rande, legt ihr die Stange auf eure Schulterblätter ab, ist es wesentlich angenehmer als auf dem Nacken. 😊👍

Squats are an exercise that improve thigh and buttock strength when performed correctly. They assist with knee, hip and lower back pain to help with lower limb function for sitting to standing, walking, running, stairs and much more. .

As physiotherapists we often see poor squatting technique due to weakness in the lower limbs. This is shown in the first video by: 
1️⃣knees knocking
2️⃣excessive arching in the lower back 
3️⃣ knees tracking too far forwards resulting increased knee pressure .

The second video demonstrates how to perform a squat correctly
1️⃣ feet are parallel and in line with the hips, knees stay in line as you squat 
2️⃣ Maintain a relaxed back position with a flat spine 
3️⃣keep your weight back on your heels, as if you are sitting on a chair

 I have really been preaching it to my clients lately, because nobody needs or wants an injury from a tight muscle! -

Stretching and rolling will increase blood flow to the muscle, relieve tightness and allow you to perform exercises much better! -

Personally I have super tight hip adductors and it can sometimes be really uncomfortable to squat! I try to stretch these out twice a day! -

Just finished the last lift of my meet prep for USPA Nationals on Saturday. Top singles in prep were: DL 598, Bench 370, & Squat 485. I will attempt a total of 1,465 lbs RAW @ 181 lbs.

My last meet was 7 months ago. I totaled 1,373 lbs, tore my IT band & haven’t stepped on a platform since. This time, just my openers alone will total 30 lbs more than that. SBD day went way better than last week. Starting to get used to the increased volume. Still not happy with my deficit deads, still figuring it out with sumo. Otherwise pretty happy with everything! Also, I’m loving hook grip. 🥰 Hoping to strengthen it enough to pull hook grip instead of mixed at my next comp. Today is an extremely eventful day. I hit double my body weight- 225lb squat for 1. This is something I’ve been dreaming about for the last 3 years when I started my fitness journey. Everyday I came in this place when I was over tired, sick, unmotivated, depressed but still never gave up on myself. I put in work all hours of the day, morning & night- sometimes even both. Thanks to my new friend @vegetaflexx bringing up the energy levels and giving me confidence that I CAN DO THIS. This proves that hard work, dedication and consistency can bring you anything you put your mind to. NEVER GIVE UP.
