There is no denying that most people live a hectic and fast-paced lifestyle. Life certainly isn't what it used to be when I was growing up. But it would be unrealistic to expect life to remain the same. Having said that, many people today feel the need to have more, be more and do more, constantly being on the go and not making the time to take care of themselves 😕
This often leads to feeling completely overwhelmed, unhappy and can result in burnout. It happened to me TWICE last year. That's when I decided to take a step back from being so busy, refocus, reconnect and take the necessary steps to find my #PersonalBalance 🏻 DYK? Last week Wednesday, 20 March 2019 was #WorldHappinessDay and according to the 2018 United Nations World Happiness Report, South Africa was ranked number 105 out of 145 countries. It's a shocking and sad statistic don't you think? So how do you go about creating and living a happy and balanced life? 🏻 As a busy (there's that word again!) working Mom with a family to take care of, it isn't always easy to make time for myself. But I do make a conscious effort to eat as healthily as possible. This is where @vital_health_foods come in. Their yummy Mini Rice Cakes are the perfect on-the-go snack and I always pack some for our roadtrips and picnics
My kitchen is never without Vital Health Soy Sauce as it's naturally cholesterol and fat free, has no added MSG and it's suitable for vegans. It adds delicious flavour to stirfries, homemade marinades and my ostrich mince spaghetti bolognaise. Also, it is super delish as a dipping sauce for sushi!
It's more then ok to go for that power walk, run or to work up a sweat in the gym to reach your fitness goals. But take time out for YOURSELF and just indulge a little.
