Is it ok to be proud of yourself? For small things, big things? Does it actually matter?
A couple of weeks ago a symbol popped up on my Van's dashboard: coolant level to low. With help from a famous searching website #weallknow I knew I shouldn't mix coolants. So I added water. Knowing, the cooland will need to be changed soon. Every few days I had to add water. Yesterday I jacked up my car, lay underneath and saw a leak in the radiator hose... ok, it's probably too many details now , so long story short
What I wanna say is, I'm proud of myself! I've drained the cooland, flushed the radiator, fixed the leak and filled new coolant in 🏽
Something I would've never done a couple of years ago. I wouldn't have cared. But now, I did it. Completely by myself. And yes, I am proud.
From driving a highly corrugated road every day since a month, at least I think that's the reason, my radio stopped working suddenly. My boss had a look, couldn't find the problem. So I've disconnected everything, wiggled wires around, changed a fuse and - I fixed it.
After I told my mum about it, I realised, that it isn't important if other people believe in you, understand what you're doing or are proud of you. Just believe in yourself and do what makes you happy. It is more than fine to be proud. Proud for something you have, you did or whatever makes you feel good! 🏽 Since I've removed everything out of the Van for driving to work, today I'm gonna clean the Van and put everything back inside, ready to hit the road!
Oh and btw, happy Easter!
What are you guys up to over Easter?
