So one of the questions I get in my inbox nearly every day is how do you have the confidence to go to the gym?
The truth is I don’t, and I don’t know if anyone is truly confident but I know that I NEED to for my journey.
What people forget is everyone has to start somewhere.. no one goes into the gym as an absolute expert, people build their relationship but we all start out at the beginning.
I still remember the first day I ever stepped foot in the gym, I was constantly worried about what I looked like, who was watching me, how much I was sweating and constantly comparing myself to others along with a hundred other things continuously running through my mind. This time round I feel 1000% better, I would highly recommend finding a gym that you feel comfortable in, find an environment where there are like minded people, talk to the staff and ask questions if you have any, find a gym partner if you can but most importantly do it for you. This is your journey and absolutely not anyone else’s.
Regardless of your size, height, weight etc do this for you. Don’t ever be worried about what others think as I can assure you they are probably more focused on themselves! Walking through those doors on the first day is the scariest part but it gets easier I promise you. Focus on finding something you enjoy and smashing your record every single time!
On this note I smashed one of my records this week and I am so bloody pleased! When I first started I burnt 251 calories in 30 minutes, well 4 weeks later I beat the record I set myself and burnt 400 in the same 30 minutes! 🏻🏻🏻🏻
