A different kind of before and after but maybe my favourite kind of progress I’ve ever made.
On the left, is a girl whose world had just been torn apart. A girl who thought separating from the father of her child was the worst thing that could ever happen to her and that life was essentially over. She cried, a lot and felt like a complete failure to herself and her son. She was fragile, insecure, worthless (so she thought) and completely lost.
On the right is a woman and a mother who knows that loving herself and realising her worth is the best thing she will ever do for herself. She’s strong, does things she loves, takes time for herself, allows herself to feel the emotions, and takes the time to work through them instead of let them consume her and you better believe she knows exactly what she’s worth and the treatment she deserves.
And she knows that single can still mean a happy ending and having a partner doesn’t define you.
On the right is a woman who wants to give hope to all the girls that are still on the left and who wants to teach them that your happiness is entirely in your hands and if you want to be happy, you have to get up and do something about it. You have to take the steps to heal your mind, body, heart and soul, because sometimes, time doesn’t heal everything.
I want to let you know, if you’re on the left, or somewhere in between, you can and will be happy when you’re ready to be. I promise you, it’s possible. Because I know when I was on the left, I didn’t think it was. ️️️️
