What do you for fun? How do you unwind? What sorts of things do you do to let go of the stress? For me I do a few different things.
1️⃣Workout on the daily every morning. I exercise to release the good feeling endorphins and push away the anxiety.
2️⃣Spend time in nature. Right now Southern California is experiencing a super bloom and it’s GORGEOUS. The hills are golden and it’s simply spectacular. Spending time in creation is very calming, centering and is a great time that allows me to work up a sweat using my own body as I hike up the hills.
3️⃣Eat real food, mostly plants and not too much of it. This idea from @michael.pollan is how me and my family eat. Thinks about it though, when you eat like crap, or go overboard at dinner, you feel bloated and tired shortly after. Your body is telling you something.
4️⃣ Drink plenty of water. Try to drink half your body weight in water and if you are working out, add another 30 Oz. I strive for a 100 day! Water flushed out the toxins and helps your digestive system move.
5️⃣Sleep matters! @shawnmodel Do yourself a favor and read his book and go to bed by 10, get off your screens, have more sex and read something before you turn off the lights.
6️⃣Supplement with high quality supplements. I drink #Shakeology everyday and it’s a game changer, but I also take a host of vitamins for my thyroid and melatonin for sleep. If you think you can get all your essential vitamins from food, you’re wrong.
6️⃣Do something that is fun once a week. I like to do photo shoots and make people feel beautiful with my camera. I love to hike. I love to try new recipes. I really love gardening and taking care of my chickens.
All of the above is how I take care of myself so I don’t go bat shit crazy. I have a lot on my plate and two insane children who are the same age. My husband is a busy entrepreneur and I work full time, and our boys are in a host of activities. We can only find balance in life when we put our health as a priority and don’t sacrifice it for the family. - 4 minutes ago
