Massive thank you to everyone who took the time to send me Birthday wishes for Tuesday - I really had a lovely time reading, listening and watching everyone's personal messages!
I left Germany last week (after doing my first professional paid performance there woohoo!) with a horrendous stomach bug, somehow managed to do 2 performances with fantastic feedback on Saturday, then continued suffering... including sitting still in an MRI machine having my knee injury scanned followed by a tricky 5 hour drive to Edinburgh on Monday... Up until midnight the day before my Birthday I completely emptied my soul across bathrooms of the United Kingdom.
I felt old, older than 30.
Fortunately, I was starting to feel much better by the morning of my Birthday, which meant I could try to eat some food after 4 days of unwanted fasting and we could enjoy a hike up to Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh before seeing some mad skills at Gandey's Circus - thanks to my wonderful girlfriend @bellethinka for getting tickets and internationally famous @bobbyparkeruk for joining us and then driving over to Oban to catch up with my lovely aunty, uncle and cousins!
A couple of weeks ago I found it difficult to walk up and down stairs due to my recent knee injury and was a bit disappointed that I thought it would be months before I could go hiking and enjoying mountainous scenery, but was very pleasantly surprised that I was absolutely fine with a decent scramble through the Lost Valley at Glencoe yesterday (and climb this boulder for an epic photo)
I FEEL GOOD!
I feel good that I'm surrounded by family who support and love me, I feel good that I am loved by a wonderful girlfriend, I feel good that I have an incredible network of friends from all over, I feel good that I have managed to build a successful career doing what I love and making other people feel good, which allows me plenty of free time to have travel the world and live half of the time abroad. I feel good
