The Gluteus Medius (Glute Med) is an important muscle for soccer players. It helps to stabilize the hips and pelvis during running, cutting, accelerating, decelerating, and kicking movements.
The exercises in the video on the left are some fundamental glute med exercises that are great as part of either a warm-up or regular maintenance program.
The exercises in the video on the right demonstrate some ways to incorporate a soccer ball with glute med strengthening.
