It’s a high gravity kinda day, a lil cranky, a lil weak, a lil impatient, and a ton of frustration (blaming my hormones haha 🤦🏻♂️). I discovered that I have one part of my training that was a complete waste of time and that get me all fired up today. Ugh, a failed experiment and was rather discouraging. BUT still finished off my training a lil strong-ish.... my highlight was that I didn’t know I could do #archerpushups 🤗 Not the best form but I’ll take it! I know it will improve the more I do it. Also, I tried #pistolsquat on the bosuball (love it!) and next time I’ll try dragon pistol and see how it goes 🙂 gawd... soooo tired but satisfying that I still managed to get it all done... thanks to this lil voice of encouragement that I had to whisper a ton during my training => “a lil more, just a lil more... I am getting stronger.” 🙂
These snippets are my favs for today’s training.
Dragon flag is getting lower and lower, weighted dips are proving to be quite effective on increasing my pushing strength (perhaps that’s the reason why I can do archer push-ups?) , and lastly my weighted pull was pretty strong too today. Ahhh strength training... do kicked me so hard but I know it will be all worth it.
This postpartum journey has truly been the most humbling experience... gotta say tho pregnancy was beautifully hard. I can only do lots of pulling and hanging stuff (which is good) but it shattered my core, it made me stiff (got too big to do yoga haha), and it weakened both my legs and pushing strength. So, for me to be able to do these and see progression... is such a great feeling to have.
