Kazz Update ☆ On Monday I took Kazz to our scheduled appointment at Penn Vet. The original plan was for him to get x-rays and stay overnight, then have his procedure the next day. However, radiology was backed up so I opted to take Kazz back on Friday rather than wait for radiology and have Kazz anesthetized twice in one week (on Friday they will anesthetize him, do xrays, then do the procedure all at once). .
When we got home from Penn, Kazz went right to sleep. When he woke up, it was obvious he was in pain. At first I thought it was his leg where they had drawn blood from, but he cried out no matter where I touched him. He also wanted nothing to do with me and only wanted to sleep. Since he didnt have a fever, his gums were pink, he wasn't in respiratory distress, wasn't limping, and there was no obvious trauma (swelling, blood, wounds), I opted to crate rest him. Thankfully he was doing much better Tuesday morning, but it wasn't until the late evening that he sought me out and we were besties again. .
Kazz is such a sweet kitten, very sensitive, and I would describe him as having an old soul. He's an incredible little guy! I'll keep you all updated on Friday as to what exactly the procedure is the doctors will be performing and as to how he is doing. If all goes well, I'll be bringing him home the same day - please keep him in your thoughts! .
