Crazy to look back at pictures from 2 years ago. Not claiming to have made a hugely noticeable physical transformation, although there has been a lot to me, but as an athlete and a person I’ve found a new standard for me and love it. Winter of 2017 was a huge breaking point when I started to realize I haven’t been pushing myself to be in the best shape I could be and be the best player I could be. I was starting to settle. I accepted I couldn’t be super lean and that I couldn’t pass that stupid fitness test and made excuse after excuse. I decided to change my approach that winter and did things in training and in my own workouts I hadn’t done. Pushed myself to heavier weights, faster speeds, quicker times, longer workouts, and once I broke past that comfortable place I had relaxed at it was eye opening. I don’t even know anymore what I’m truly capable of and what my max is and I don’t think anyone ever really does either. That’s the fun of it, pushing yourself past what you ever thought possible over and over again. If there’s one take away just hold a high standard for yourself and the life you live and don’t settle for anything less than that standard. Keep pushing to find new things about yourself physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, whatever it is that you never knew you had in you. Oki goodnight xoxo 💞

Today was a great day! 
I decided to change it up. I got up an hour earlier so I could work out and have more time to get ready. The best part was that when I got home from 8 hours of work, I didn’t have to workout and have no time to relax, I got to relax all evening and all because I decided getting up an hour earlier. When you literally have 20 minutes to do an Express workout before fetching your little one... what better way than to train outside, on a hill , catching some sunshine while building up some #glow.

equipment:
Strap on leg weights.
8kg Kettlebell.
15kg sand bag.
Muscle group activated Glutes- gluteus maximus, gluteus medius, and the gluteus minimus. legs.

Warm up 4 lengths running
Jumping Jack's 3 sets of 10s
Rotating squats/sumo squats 3 sets of 8s
Mountain climbers 3 sets of 10s
Alternating Push up plank 3 sets of 10s
Walking Lunges  full length of area
Kettlebell swings 3 sets of 10s
jumping squats with kettle bell
alternating squats uphill 
Run 2 laps with bean bag, on the uphill do squat alternating lunge squat till you reach the top. 
cool off jog 4 laps.

🐠Cheeesst and Baaaack🐠 Tbh this was another Monday I almost missed because my allergies are wildin right now. But my body felt fine so I threw on a fit, pushed through the sniffles and sneezes, and got to work. Also who tf knew rainy Monday nights would be poppin at the gym?? 🤔 I’m shook, but love to see everyone getting that late night grind in. Anyway, every day isn’t going to be a good day and you’re not always going to be 100%. Listen to your body and if you think you can push through, then most definitely push through, but know that it is just as important to rest when your body truly needs it. 😌

Never miss a Monday 😎, hit some squats and deadlifts. Squats went pretty good working sets are 1x5 at 225/275/315 lb now looking at it lol my 315 set was trash 😭, only like 2 good reps, need to work harder. Deadlifts top set was 2x5 315 lb on a deadlift bar. It was my second time using one and it seem harder to me, but I still put in work 😎👊🔥. Hey IG fitfam it's been awhile. I've been on a break due to medical issues, but I'm back with a different routine. It's not what I'm used to, but so far it's been kicking my ass. I didn't realize how easy my workouts were starting to get for me. Even though it was hard because of my hip, it wasn't pushing me like it used to. I hope y'all have been doing great♡

Quick squat session after work today. 3 x 8 with 225, I lost count on my last set and did 6. Finished up with 3 sets of barbell rows and leg extensions for 3 x 20. Getting back to into it after being sick for a week and losing 14 pounds. Gunna use this weight loss to help with the shred. Much love to everyone. KEEP SMASHING YOUR GOALS & GET THIS BREAD.

Today, I climbed for a family member we lost last evening. I took myself back to Franconia Notch to let Mount Cannon beat the hell outta me. It did a number on me. I went up to Lonesome Lake trail to Kinsman ridge trail. Which was incredibly steep on kinsman trail going up the west side of Cannon. Then I made the mistake of coming down high cannon trail. Dumbest fucking move ever. I’ll make sure from now on I do a little more research next time. Lesson learned. Stair climbing tonight! Putting my weight in the balls of my feet so that I can engage my calves. 💪❤ Ended up doing speed 5 for 12 minutes then moved on to... *jump squats 20 × 4 (with resistance bands)
*Lunges 20× 3 *bike 10 minutes (high resistance)

It’s finally starting to hit me that Im doing this again after taking 4 years off! Im feeling healthy, strong, and most importantly happy! Competition prep is always something I have enjoyed. I love the discipline, hard work, and routine. I love the urge to push even harder every single day! Happy Monday! Totally went M.I.A. on posting this weekend due to having too much fun in Vegas. Took a well deserved 3 days off and I’ve got that itch to hit the gym but lack of hydration and high consumption of Alcohol yesterday is not making it possible! So, resting the muscles and gonna hit it hard tomorrow! Currently and All weekend diluted this BCAAs into my half gallon thermos and am hydrating it up! Hope every had a fun and safe weekend! •

The scale can kiss my ass. Yes the numbers are increasing lately, but so are my muscles. 💪 That's the thing with scales; they are tricky bastards. I know for a fact I have lost inches and increased my muscle mass in the last 3 months, but if I were to just go based off my scale I'd feel like a failure.

My clothes are fitting nicer, my endurance is improving and I'm lifting heavier than I ever have in my life! I try to increase my weight every week, even if it's just for a few reps. I'm not scared of putting on some muscle mass. In fact I think it's pretty sexy. 😍 Nothing too crazy for me, but just enough that you can't help but notice. STRONG IS SEXY! Now to work on my legs a little more and get those quads poppin! 🏋️

19.5 you kicked my ass and my hands 🤣
Today I join all the “soft handed” peeps that have hands that look like this after finishing the last CrossFit Open workout.

This year I was able to Complete all workouts RX and can see some really good improvements in my strength and technique (shame about the hands and bar work hehehe) which is great as I can be super hard on myself at times so it’s really promising to see the improvements.

Well done to my partner in crime @kmorro1234 for smashing today’s workout out of the park and for a super open where she too Rx every workout- your amazing!

Huge shout out to @de_mawson for always pushing me and setting the challenge before each workout and putting up with my potty mouth 👄 .

Monday’s are sometimes a hard day for people to start. To get up early and go to the gym. This Monday was my hard Monday. I’m sore, tired, hungry.... I weighed myself this morning and weight didn’t change this week. I then really didn’t want to work out needed a break. So instead of doing nothing I did some light cardio in the morning. And due to that is gave me more energy to go back for a run and stretch. I have found I have been stretching more without thinking and my flexibility has slowly come back. Stretching is so important. So far our trip has been absolutely amazing!!! Some amazing yummy drinks!!! Finally got some sleep and on my way to feeling better!!! Sea bands. Scopolamine and Bonine all together have been the perfect concoction of  what I need!!! Today we enjoyed some down time, pool and sun!! Also the water slide and a great dinner with teammates!!! This is something that now I look forward to each year!! Earning these trips with friends and coaches and then getting to celebrate together!!!! Meeting some Amazing teammates that I only knew from online!!! To say I am blessed is an understatement!!! Excited for Labadee/Haiti tomorrow!!! Can’t wait to see what it looks like and chill out and site see.

Quick physique update : My legs have been progressing and so far they are growing in size very very slowly but still growing so woooh! 💪 I'm trying to get them as proportionate to my upper body size and I still do regret not working then out wayyyyy earlier before I started. It's been a year since I've worked out my legs so thank you for the peeps who supported me! Never skip leg day please 😂💪

It's been a huge Journey. Not only was my pregnancy complicated, but my recovery from birth was really difficult. 5 days of agony stuck in 3rd stage labor, a two hour surgery & a beautiful baby girl later.. Ive finally begun to heal 🌱
 I've been trying to regain my flexibility & fitness. Yoga has not only helped me gain patience & understanding as a mother but as a human being. I love waking up every day & trying new things. I love getting to know my new body. Pushing myself a little harder each day to be stronger. Finding my limits & smashing them week after week.
 I push myself further & further to be better.  Live your life to the FULLEST. Love BIGGER. Laugh MORE. Judge LESS.
