Pull day today!!
Didn't plan on hitting a new PR, but it was done! Took a challenge from @mrcincinnati16 to pull 285 for 4-6 reps. I accepted it, as I haven't done that in 2ish years. I also tried sumo stance.. felt good. I may stick to that. I saw his 285, upped it to 6 reps of 315! Then hit 365 for 1!
I'll be honest here.. deadlifts kinda scare me sometimes. I tweaked my sciatic nerve a couple of years ago trying to hit a new PR. Taking a couple years off of deadlifts, working on my form, finding what works for me still, I'm working on getting back up there! Being afraid to do something isn't ALWAYS a bad thing. Just don't stay that way. If you're like me, in time, it pisses you off, you get over it, and step bar up to that bar with the weight that you hurt yourself with. Only way to push through and improve. Needless to say, I'm pretty damn happy! -3rd one here, you want to keep your elbows in, drive to the ground, keeping lats engaged at all times. Slow reps, really stretching up top. 3 sets 12-15, upping weight if you can. -4th here, same thing... drive your elbows into the ground, keeping your shoulder out of it. Keep the weight slightly behind you. 3 sets 12-15.
I included some biceps, a few core workouts that I can film at another time. .
