I ask you, who is the son of man?
Jesus said: “For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.”(Matthew 12:8)(also Mark 2:28, Luke 6:5)
I ask you, if Jesus claims to be Lord of the sabbath, that the sabbath does not concern him, how then can he be the son of man?
For GOD HIMSELF has said:
“Keep justice, and do righteousness: for my salvation is soon to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man that does this, and the SON OF MAN that lays hold on it; THAT KEEPS THE SABBATH FROM DEFILING IT, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.”(Isaiah 56:1-2)
Jesus said: “And no man has ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, EVEN THE SON OF MAN WHO IS IN HEAVEN.”(John 3:13)
I ask you, if Jesus said that the son of man is in heaven, that he has not yet come, then who is this Jesus of Nazareth then?
Jesus said: “But that you may know that the SON OF MAN HAS POWER ON EARTH TO FORGIVE SINS,(he said to the paralytic)”(Mark 2:10)
I say to you, only God can forgive sins.(Isaiah 43:25) The son of man has no power to do that.
Jesus said: “And has given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.”(John 5:27)
I say to you, the LORD is our judge, lawgiver, king and savior.(Isaiah 33:22)
I ask you, what is the purpose of the son of man? If Jesus has authority to execute judgment, and be the savior, how then can he be the son of man?
For it is written about the son of man:
“Put not your trust in princes, nor in the SON OF MAN, IN WHOM THERE IS NO SALVATION. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his dust; in that very day his thoughts perish.”(Psalm 146:3-4)
“O God of Hosts, return now; look from heaven and see, and be mindful of this vine, And of the foundation that Your right hand has planted and OVER THE SON YOU HAVE STRENGTHENED FOR YOURSELF. Burned with fire [and] cut off; from the rebuke of Your countenance they perish. MAY YOUR HAND BE UPON THE MAN OF YOUR RIGHT HAND, UPON THE SON OF MAN WHOM YOU STRENGTHENED FOR YOURSELF. And let us not withdraw from You; grant us life, and we shall call out in Your name. O LORD GOD OF HOSTS, RETURN US; CAUSE YOUR COUNTENANCE TO SHINE, AND WE SHALL BE SAVED.”(Psalm 80:15-20) - 11 minutes ago
