Budokon Yoga is a style of yoga that incorporates elements from martial arts, calisthenics, and animal locomotion. The foundation of this style is the Budokon Yoga Primary Series, which consists of 7 intelligently assembled sections of slow and controlled circular movements designed to improve joint mobility, agility, flexibility, cardiovascular stamina and muscular strength. The emphasis is on the transitions from posture to posture, rather than the holding of postures.
Join our International Guest teacher, @anambles who is originally from the Netherlands, but lives and studies philosophy in South Africa. There she found Budokon, and immediately fell in love with the room it creates for intuitive, playful, fluid and strong movement. After completing her vinyasa yoga certification in Cape Town in 2016, she studied Budokon yoga with Cameron Shayne in Johannesburg in 2017, and has been teaching since. She is currently on a trip through India and Sri Lanka, and can't wait to share the Budokon magic with you.
