I have noticed people often look for a change when the season’s change...summer coming up - got to get in shape....kids going back to school in the fall - finally a routine and I will have time🏼.... You see the pattern!
I was in this pattern, in fact, last fall I said “Now....we are going back to school...I can do this in the mornings.” ️What does this mean for you? Will you cut carbs, run miles and miles, freak out at every cookout invitation because you might cheat on your diet????
️It is not about willpower...what if you just focused on these three things:
Knowing what to eat for YOU! What food makes you feel alive and vibrant? Just because your friend is down 10 pounds cutting all carbs, is that what works for YOU??
Being honest with yourself! Will you really drive to the gym every morning at 4 am? Or would do better with a plan that allows you to work out at home ?
Look at your circle. Do you have a tribe that pushes you? That encourages you? This what helped me:
Eat real food: avocados, strawberries, chicken, salmon, rice, sweet potatoes, honey.... 🥔🥒🥩🥗Workout at home (in pjs, no make up, hot mess). 🤷♀️I knew that I would not drive 20 minutes to the gym, workout and drive 20 minutes home. My time with the people I love is too precious for me️
I found a tribe. People that lift me up daily, hold me accountable, and bring me joy.
