Me and @1_chefpapi got in the gym and did what we do best. We got to work!! Serious, unflinching, no excuses, hard fucking work💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾. Back and biceps, plus 20 minutes of cardio. Going on stage for a bodybuilding competition has all its own ups and downs, but if you don’t prepare properly for the day you’ll find yourself backstage knowing you didn’t do enough. Maybe you always feel like you didn’t do enough whether it’s bodybuilding or football, but when it’s showtime it doesn’t matter anymore. Your in the moment, it’s time to step up and make shit happen. I’m looking forward to that moment, more than I have before. I’m disciplined, I’m dedicated and I’m not accepting less of myself. You shouldn’t either. Y’all stay blessed and stay strong💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾!!!!

I can’t say enough how happy I am that I made the decision early on to take progress photos and I highly encourage others to do the same as well as take full body measurements. They truly help you see changes in yourself that you might otherwise have a hard time recognizing over time. Stay strong my friends. 💪🏻

According to the scale, I am bigger now than when I originally set out to lose weight over 2 years ago. I fluctuate between 170-176 throughout the week. But I know I'm healthier than when I was 165 2 years ago, and when I was 140 just under a year ago. My diabetes is more managed, my weight is more ideal for my body type, and I'm a lot stronger too. 
I'm my own worst enemy. I can be really REALLY harsh on myself, but then I see myself in the mirrors at the gym and I love what I see. Yeah, I'm no size 2. And that's okay. 😍🍑

Bench went pretty smoothly tonight. Coach wasn't able to make it tonight, but said we needed to do 6 sets of 4 reps tonight. 
I finished with 155lbs×1. 
1st is 135×4
2nd is 140×4 
3rd is 145 for 2 successful reps, and 1 failed. 
Decided to go for 155 for a single, and it was gooooooood.
Less than 5 weeks out now!

My wonderful client @kathyclark_wnbfpro asked me yesterday how I’m able to show up at the level I do for my clients, especially when it comes to long days with over 11 sessions like Monday.

Even though I may be on my 9th client for the day and I have been going full-out for many hours, I know that when my next client walks in, it is only the beginning for them. They’ve entrusted me with their health and fitness goals, and want help to fast track their results. What I do during my time with them will really make or break their achievement over the long term. They want 100% from me and I am here to deliver 110%.

There is NO session that I step into unmotivated. I know the transformational power of fitness and the miracles it can produce in your mindset and the rest of your life. Primary lift was the bread and butter Barbell Bent Over Row.

I hit as many doubles as I could with 225lbs which was 7 sets, then I did 2 singles with 245. All 9 sets had a rep or two left in the tank.

5,905lbs put into my back and biceps with just this barbell.

Bench was feeling extra nice 😋. I know it’s light weight, but usually there’s some aches and pains. Pauses are kind of fast though 😅. During my 3rd or 4th rep of my top set I grooved it weirdly and let the bar sink a bit too much. Made my shoulder feel a little off ☹️. I think I forgot and only did 5 reps for one or two of my down sets by accident lol.

18,673lbs pumped into my back and biceps tonight using just 5 exercises. Efficient.

Cambered Bar Seal Row Dropsets with Dumbbells. Easier/more efficient to dropset to dumbbells rather than unload the weight off the Cam Bar then re-setup - by that time a rest period is used.

One of the points of a dropset is minimal rest between the sets. Don't defeat the purpose of exhausting the muscles.

It wasn’t easy to let go of the familiar. ⁣You must begin to first TRUST that you can let go of fear/obsession around food! ⁣( you will not get fat on bread or carbs...eating TOO MUCH makes you fat. ) ⁣

I learn to listen to my body and  take note of my hunger cues while applying all my nutrition knowledge ( both certed in PT & nutrition) into what I eat. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I coach all my clients to count macros now simply as one of several TOOLS to be aware of how many calories are in what they eat. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It’s the hopes that they don’t become too reliant on their macros and have to count EVERYTHING and discover a method that works for them LONG TERM. ⁣⁣

With @powerwolfathletics, you first learn the basics of nutrition & put it into practice as we guide you the whole way. ⁣⁣

Oh hai. :) 205lb for a singo, after sets of 10 of lighter weight. First week back on it! Felt like 250lb on the upper back, and 185lb on the legs 🤣 slightly high but I'll take it, as my form will likely change as I get  consistent.

Last stretch with school, so gym's been lacking. Spent the last 4 months rehabbing a knee injury - I couldn't even lie down on my stomach without weird pain/discomfort under my patella. It's gotten better enough. Just a little while to go :) hope everyone's doing well! #happymonday

Today was a successful bench day! Hit a non-warmup short pause set @ 405 for 7 reps (softball game tonight, had to hurry) and then 3 sets of long pauses with feet up and down alternating and then a touch and go set @ 405 for 6 reps. Finished flat bench with 37 reps @ 225. Confidence in my bench is coming back but still work to do, like my leg drive (nonexistent basically) so I am gunna work with my bro Nate on that because I can admit I do not know everything, but today was a step in the right direction! 6 weeks to get myself in position for a 2K plus total and I can’t wait for @uspapower Nationals!! Sunday morning I weighed in the lightest I have in a long time, 206. About 2 months ago I decided I wanted to cut during my off season. It was very beneficial, I lost fat and gained muscle. I leaned up quite a bit.

But now it’s time to bulk back up to 225lbs for this Meet Prep. I’m currently 9 1/2 weeks out. The reason I’m bulking back up is because I compete at 220lb weight class and for training I want to train at the weight I will be competing at.

For this bulk I upped my carbs and fats and kept my protein the same.

Shoulders and chest tonight!  Started with a strict press at 185lbs for 3x6 finishing with an easy set of 10.  Moved on to power shrugs for sets of 5 at 405lbs.  Moved to incline bench for 4x8 at 225lbs, and finished the day off with some upright rows 4x15 supersetted with kickbacks for 4x12. .

Today I am also starting my cut with an evening weight of 207.5lbs.  I have to cut back for at least a good 4 weeks on the intensity anyways to let my ear heal so I figured this was a good week as any to start.  I also need to start working on my tan before the tank lines get me and I'm cursed for the whole summer again haha

I never thought I’d be able to pull anything close to 500lbs let alone 700lbs. Hit a 300 single, then a bunch of incline DB work up to 85's for 12. 
Ended with 3 x 20 at 135 feet up.
