This just makes my heart so happy
Yes, we just had alone time running which never happens.
But because I remember a time 7 years ago I was going out alone, before kids, and training for my marathon.
One day I came home and he said to me, “I just don’t know how you do it. How do you just go out and run like that?” I don’t. I start small.
I didn’t just one day go out and run a marathon. I had to set small momentum goals along the way.
So that day I told him, “Just go out and run to the end of the street. When you get good at that, run to the next street. And keep on going just a little further each time.” You know what happened?
1 year later he ran his first marathon.
Maybe today we aren’t training for a race, but we are always training for the game of life.
And we still enjoy pounding the pavement every once and awhile too.
It is pretty cool to say I have found a way to do both the things that I love ♀️🏋🏼♀️ with those I love. ️ And never ever be afraid to just START! 🏻 - 1 month ago
