”Orange is the happiest color” ~Frank Sinatra
I have a huge place in my heart for sunflowers...I love that sunflowers start to hit their stride right around the first day of summer. I grow every variety I can get my hands on. Though I now have to avoid the largest single flower varieties in favor of those with dozens of smaller flowers because of the squirrels who break off the largest flowers just as they have reached their peak, leaving me with an 8-10 foot stalk:( .

Annual, full sun to part shade, 4-6 feet tall with dozens of bright orange flowers that bloom from summer to frost. - 49 minutes ago
