Sonnets: The Dichotomy Of Love
Sonnet: Love in Spring
From winter rise, a snowy dreary rest.
Slumbering through life’s greatest gift I WAKE!
Heart pounding with passion through my caged chest
Every second a need for love to make
Who is this beauty with sorceress spell
I see her in shining light with no flaws
Can she be real? In dreams I knew her well.
Joy to replace my loneliness; she the cause
Grip my beauty’s hand and never let go
Life’s storms await to wreck us at deep sea
I would give all for her, that she might know
My heart hers to hold and shall always be.
This feeling not fleeting watch as we fly
Soaring on love up! Up! to heavens sky.
Sonnet: The death of love
What in heaven’s name is this love we play.
The darkness does shroud a once perfect light
For is this love? Or a word we cruelly say?
Fighting the truth with all our strength and might.
Tell me you care turning the blindest eye.
Through all our action a story unfolds
The soul is taken and loves heart does die.
Once two perfect halves now a shattered molds.
I beg a change in season a change in bloom
My time in torment draws to needed end
With sorrow in thy heart my surest doom
Oh! Strike the final wound we cannot mend
For love is live or dead no middle ground.
I strain for hearing breath, the faintest sound.
