Here is a little snippet of my home for the past 4 years. I owe so much to the Ningaloo Reef. The experiences I have shared here have no doubt changed my perception of the world around me. Never before have I felt more connected to the natural world, particularly the Ocean.
It pains me to admit that most of what I encounter here and post to you all does not emulate in other regions of the planet like it once did before.
I know you all keep hearing it, but our decisions every day from hear on will drastically shape the future of the planet.
We can't all be iconic warriors like Sir David but we can certainly do our bit to collectively make this world a better place. Preaching will only take us so far, changing will take us the rest. For those of you that have made it this far down, do me one favour this week. Everyitime you use a piece of plastic, take note, it doesn't have to be on paper, just a little mental note. To many of us the use plastic can be unavoidable at the moment. However the amount of plastic and how we use it can be reduced in so many ways. Think Coffee cups? Supermarket Bags? Every piece of plastic you have ever disposed of is still on this earth somewhere. Soon that initial mental note will turn into a list, that list will continue to grow unless you seek out the many alternatives that are already out there to combat it. The era of waste must be put behind us and the time for change hastily ushered in if we are to save so much of this fragile planet.
Now the change starts with you.. No pressure - 43 minutes ago
