A couple of days ago we went to the Johnson Space Center in Houston.
If your slightly into space, astronauts, mars, nasa or astronomy then you need to come here, it is inspiration personified! The first picture you see here is Saturn V, a rocket they hope to use for missions in the future and that’s why it’s kept in this big building, the building is climate controlled to keep the rocket from deteriorating faster than if it wasn’t in a climate controlled environment. Making repairs of the rocket a little easier when it comes to getting this huge rocket ready. We were told that the rocket is around 66 million pounds in weight!
The fourth photo is of a mission control simulation room, which trainee flight controllers use to practice for at least 6 months to a year to control a simulated international space station and all of the problems that might come with this! One of the best things we’ve ever gone to see and we are so excited to see what the next wave of space exploration brings! #nasa #space #mars #houston #texas #johnsonspacecenter #spaceship #science #outerspace #astronomy #physics - 30 minutes ago
