📲 Hit the SAVE tag so you can remember this exercise for the next time your in the gym 📲

TOP TIPS:
➡️ Make sure your hips are neutral and your bum is down so that your back and legs are all in one straight line.
➡️ Try doing this without the band at first, to get used to the movement.
➡️ When lifting your hands off the ground to extend in front of you, don't let your shoulder, core or hips rotate, twist or tilt.
➡️ Repeat 5 times on each shoulder then take a break. Repeat this 3 times.

1年半たってようやく実現しました😭👏💕
初開催にもかかわらず沢山の方に足を運んで頂き、私自身も驚いてます!!
寺パワーすごい🙌✨ 同期も助けにきてくれて、本当に嬉しかった❤️
ありがとう☺️ ヨガの資格をとったとき、「寺ヨガをやる!」と宣言していましたが…1年半が過ぎ…

昨年別のお寺さんに手紙を出しては、連絡こずでフラれてしまい…

そんなことをふと生徒さんに笑い話としてお話したら、檀家さんということで違うお寺を教えてくださり、その日にさっそくホームページでメッセージを!

そしたら住職さんとお会いすることができ、とんとん拍子で寺ヨガ開催へ😳🎉 なんでも、開けたお寺を作りたいと、お若い住職さんも色々考えていたとのことで丁度ヨガいいなと考えていた矢先の私の連絡だったとのことです😍タイミングばっちり!!ご縁ってすごいです🙏🍀 歴史あるお寺で、お堂も広く、とても綺麗。こだわりの廊下は無垢の一枚板を使っているそうです。

天井には金色の飾り物と天女が舞っており、シャバーサナでは見放題!笑

周囲は静かで、風が吹き抜ける音や、鳥の鳴き声が聞こえ、とても心地よい時間でした☺️ お寺って足を運ぶだけで心が浄化される気がします。

そして、お釈迦様に色々見透かされている気もして、私自身の課題も沢山みつかりました✏️精進します😂✊ ありがたいことに次回の開催も決定しました㊗️👏! 🌼7/21(日)

Now onto the trimesters! 🤰🏼First trimester: it is safe to continue whichever workout you were doing prior to pregnancy, unless you start feeling discomfort. The first trimester tends to make you feel very tired, so make sure to not over do it, and listen to your body! - No lying on tummy if it feels uncomfortable (second trimester) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- No lying on tummy at all (third trimester) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- No lying on back if you are getting symptoms of lightheadedness and  dizziness. See you don't have these symptoms, lying on your back is safe through your whole pregnancy! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Es una patología que presenta como principal manifestación la osificacion del ligamento longitudinal anterior (LLA) y la formación de puentes óseos intevertebrales. Las repercusiones otorrinolaringológicas más frecuentes son la disfagia, disfonía y la disnea.

Es más frecuente en varones de 60 a 70 años. La sintomatología clínica es dolor referido, rigidez muscular en cervical y dorsal, aunque, en muchos de los casos los pacientes son asintomáticos.

Keys to the plank:
1️⃣ Dig in your toes
2️⃣ Tuck your tail & squeeze your  butt.
3️⃣ Squeeze and lift your pelvic floor muscles and tighten lower abs.
4️⃣ Push through your shoulders
5️⃣ Look between your thumbs
6️⃣ Breathe!

Proč přecházím?
Spoustu lidí (kolem mojí maličkosti) si asi říká, proč přecházím z oboru na obor, co bys chtěla víc, buď ráda za tu nekonečnost možností, nevymýšlej si a radši už začni makat... Po 2 semestrech na ergu mě nejvíce bavily předměty společné a praxe. Vždycky záleží na pracovišti, občas jsem slýchávala od ostatních, jak byli nešťastní na praxi, ale já si zrovna vybrala takové, kde bych v budoucnu viděla sebe jako zaměstnance. Krásná vybavená ergo místnost, magic box, snoezelen, lokomat... mohla jsem dělat opravdu cokoliv jsem si zaminula s určitým přiřazeným dítětem (aano, dětské odd. ) Jenže pořád tam bylo něco, co mi chybělo. Byl to takový ten pocit, že jste na správné cestě k cíli, ale chybí tam určitá jiskra k dokonalosti. U ergo se zaměřujete na různé detaily, hrubá jemná motorika, ADL, učí člověka vrátit se zpět do běžného života, fyzioterapie je hodně o cvičení, dechové gymnastice či pasivních pohybech.. Seznámila jsem se tam s jednou fyzioterapeutkou, která mě brávala k sobě na kabinu a ukazovala mi, jak cvičit s určitým pacientem (či klientem - to by mohl být námět na další monolog), na co si dát pozor a jak ho zase posunout o kus blíž ke zlepšení stavu. Po měsíci neustálého přemýšlení jsem si byla jistá, že tohle je zaměstnání, které je víc pro mě. Člověku to pak dává smysl, najednou to do sebe zapadne jak tetris. A tak čekám. Příjmačky jsem musela dělat jako každý jiný uchazeč,  úspěšně udělala a teď netrpělivě čekám na rozhodnutí. Doufám, že pozitivní. Ale i kdyby ne, nelituju ničeho. Ergo není nic, za co bych se měla stydět, ba naopak. Pomáhat lidem je na tom to nejkrásnější. Kdyby to nevyšlo, dostuduju si ergo a dálkově fyzio. Budu pracovat tam, kde mě to baví a dělat to, co mě určitě naplňuje. Pomáhat. ❤ #occupationaltherapist #physicaltherapist

[PAIN AND IDENTITY]

This is part 1 of a series on creating a framework for change.

Pain that has been around for some time is no longer simple. It is becomes interwoven into the beautiful tapestry that is life.

Which makes it hard to define and identify, but also really hard to accept and move on.
.
This doesn't mean it can't change (see title of series), it simply means we may need to accept our identity the way it currently is.
.
It's kind of like saying, 'OK, well that happened, so now what?'
.
An acceptance is the first step to creating change.
.
This is based in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which it has to be said does not show any greater effect than control groups in a meta-analysis by Hughes et al 2017 in reducing pain intensity and quality of life. BUT, this is potentially not what we are after when talking about creating a framework for change - do we want to abolish pain or do we want to create a pathway for a new normal?

It IS part of the 'ego's or identity, BUT just how much that impacts on daily life and how much meaning is ascribed to this pain we will deal with in the coming posts.

As you guys know, I’m all about jumping. Hurdles, boxes, steps, up and down, sideways, plyometrics, distance — all of it.

🦶🏼When was the last time that you were standing in front of an obstacle wondering if you can make on top of it or over it?

It’s that moment I really enjoy having, a bit of excitement and thrill to not just trip over it and get hurt. My clients know what I’m talking about 😬.

Really, I encourage you to try it at your gym, do it at home and just incorporate it into your regular training to add some flavor to it. The only thing: start out with low things to jump over, solid things like a box to jump on AND land GENTLY!

I personally combine jumps or hops with heavier lifts, kettlebell training and sprints to make use of the already alerted nervous system to get the extra benefits 😉.

Meet Melissa! She's a mum of 3 yet attends various fitness classes and one of my first few clients 😍

When she first came in October 2018, she was diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis and had pain. This happenes whenever she walks for long, goes up or down stairs, or sometimes misplacing her foot in certain positions.

 After having gone through our RehabPro programme for rehab and self maintenance, the pain reduced and occurrence of random knee pain decreased.
.
She's now officially discharged 😭, leaving with a brain fully packed with self management knowledge. I must say it's been a wonderful journey.

PARKINSON’S DISEASE AND THE FEET!!! (@posturepro) .

Over the years our method has gained some popularity for decreasing symptoms in some neurological conditions, like Parkinson’s Disease. This picture is showing the feet of a 72-year-old woman who has stage 4 Parkinson’s for the last 23 years. Her main complaint was foot pain and instability. 😫 .
.

As we can see from the picture on the left, her long toe is overlapping on the middle toe and was causing her a lot of pain. So what I did was work on skin’s exteroception and muscle proprioception. These are the two fastest neurological highways that tell your brain what your feet are doing on the ground. 💯
.
. ✅ Now take a look at the picture on the right, her long toe has been restored to its physiological position. That means she has less pain and feels more stable on her feet which will also improve her gait. 💪

Our approach is based on improving the connection ⚡️of the brain to the muscles which allows us to remap brain patterns. .

When shopping for shoes 👟 you want to have more than fashion in mind — you'll also want to consider function and keeping your feet 👣 in good shape 
Your feet have the big job of supporting your body weight and sustaining the impact of standing, walking, running, and everything else you do throughout the day 🏋🏿‍♀️

Here are a few tips that you can apply for finding the right shoes:
.

1️⃣Take a tracing of your foot with you. Place any shoe you think you might buy on top of the tracing. If the shoe is narrower or shorter than the tracing, don't even try it on.
.
.
2️⃣Stand in the shoes. Press gently on the top of the shoe to make sure you have about a half-inch of space between your longest toe and the end of the shoe. This provides enough room for your foot to press forward as you walk. Wiggle your toes to make sure there's enough room. .
.
3️⃣ Pay attention to the width as well as the length. If the ball of your foot feels compressed in a particular shoe, ask if it comes in a wider size. Buying shoes that are a half-size bigger — but not any wider — won't necessarily solve the problem

4️⃣ Examine the soles. Are they flexible enough to provide full motion of the gait cycle? .

The bottom line: Your feet are probably doing way more than you give them credit for, so they need shoes to match . 
Shoes, like clothes, are pretty personal. The right choices for you will depend on your activity levels, height, weight, walking and running gait, personal style, and a lot more.
