The body is the foundation to existence. It is the house; a shelter and space where you grow and are nurtured. It is the vehicle; transportation through the universe and to your many destinations. Without the body, there is no individual; no self without sensation. No ego/soul.
The body is physiology. A mechanical structure with simple function carried out by means of complicated processes. Despite the complexity of how the body functions, maintenance is relatively simple. Fuel, water, rest, exercise; as long as the body gets its physical requirements, it is capable of many feats. The body can handle the occasional deficiency in any of its base needs, but without proper attention to the physical needs overall can lead to issues in health, both mentally and physically.
It is crucial for every individual to have a deep understanding of what their own particular body needs as far as physical activity, diet, circadian rhythm, etc., and an appreciation for what it is. To live one's own best life, they need to know what is best for themselves. Sometimes figuring this out can be as easy as following the culture one was raised in, other times it can require a little more effort by researching and studying other people, but ultimately the only way to truly know what an individual needs and what works best is through experience.
Everything starts with your body.
