How to create a perfect event photo book?
Have you ever taken pictures at your kid’s birthday party, and find out later that there are not enough images to create an album? Or maybe all your photos look similar and it makes your photo book not interesting? I want to leave here a list of pictures that I take to create a solid event photo book.
You need about 40-60 images to create an album. I personally prefer let my photos breathe on a page. Sometimes I would use two photos for one spread, and mix that with a little busier page, that has six or eight images.
1. Location photo (building from outside preferably)
2. Details (decor, gifts, flowers)
3. Portraits (I try to cover every kid, or group them by two or four for larger events)
4. Group photo (classic, action)
5. Real time events (presents opening, crafts, games, cake)
6. Good bye photos (finished crafts group photo, friends hug, group faces close-up)
You can see a small 8X8 photo book as a sample, which I created after my girl’s birthday party. I like to place my images in a time line, so when you are looking through the album it makes logical beginning and the end. I didn’t had a location photo this time so I started with some decorated room wide angle image and decor close-ups. “How to make it even better?” Ideas:
Jumping photo with a birthday person in front of the house with balloons (1)
Lay on a floor ask all the kids look in a camera (wide angle lens) (4,6)
If you playing active games outside, be right in a middle when they running (5)
Messiest ice cream eater photos (can be separate page just for that) (3,5)
Be brave do all of this with your Iphone if you don’t have big camera, memories are more important.
We like to pray for our birthday kid with all the friends laying hands on her/him (take it from the top) (6) If you follow that simple list you will get enough images after any event, to create a fun photo book. #photobookcreating #easyphotography #phototips #creatingphotoalbum #photographygoals #makingmemoriestogether #iphonephotography #photobookideas #photoalbumideas #clickingmoms #photographytutorial #mpix #photographylist - 1 day ago
